I have owned plenty of F0.95 and most have been pretty good, but The Venus Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 CF APO has to be the sharpest one of them all. The Bokeh is so smooth and character is beautiful. This is a manual lens with aperture and focus control the 33mm gives you plenty of background blur without getting to close to your subject. There is a gorgeous RED ring flair that happens between 0.95,1.2, 1.4 aperture (depending on the suns angle and your angle of shooting) However it goes away as you stop up. Bokeh is always subjected but i think it looks really smooth and also can give you gorgeous vintage look with plenty of Fuji Recipes. Pro's: Sharpest F0.95 out of the competition. Absolutely solid built quality and smooth focus control (long) and looks really beautiful with that square lens hood. You can add 1 filter with the lens hood. Built like a tank, and quality, extremely low focus breathing. Cons: No weather sealing, depending on your rig and how you take care of your equipment this might not be an issue and certainly for some. No lens contacts or USB-C :( Focus is really long, however... it can make it much easier to focus on subjects. This is one of the most beautiful lens i have ever owned shot with, certainly underrated to the max. If you want full control of your portraits and love taking manual photos than this lens is a must.

Make your photography and videography endeavors stand out with the Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 CF APO Lens for Canon RF, a high-quality, innovative lens designed for Canon EOS R series cameras. This advanced, ultra-fast standard lens is optimized for APS-C sensors, providing a versatile and reliable option for creators seeking exceptional image quality.
With its impressive f/0.95 aperture, the Laowa Argus 33mm lens excels in low-light conditions, allowing photographers to capture stunning images with a shallow depth of field. The wide aperture not only facilitates low-light photography but also contributes to the creation of sparkling astrophotography and prestigious portraits with a dramatic bokeh effect.
The lens's apochromatic optical design (APO) is engineered with one Extra-low Dispersion Glass, one Aspherical Lens, and three Ultra High Refraction Glass elements. This combination effectively minimizes chromatic aberration across the entire frame, ensuring clear, sharp images with well-controlled color fidelity, both in the in-focus and out-of-focus areas.
Boasting a close focusing distance of just 35cm, the Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 CF APO Lens enables photographers to capture intricate details and unique perspectives, adding depth and interest to their compositions.
Videographers will appreciate the lens's long focus throw, which provides precise control over the focus point, and the low focus breathing, which maintains a consistent angle of view when shifting focus between subjects, essential for narrative filmmaking.
The internal focusing mechanism of the lens maintains its physical length during focusing, enhancing stability and preventing dust or debris from entering the lens. This feature also allows the use of specialized accessories, such as polarizers and petal-shaped lens hoods, without affecting their position.
A stepless aperture ring offers videographers the ability to adjust exposure smoothly and silently during shooting, ensuring seamless transitions in varying lighting conditions.
The exquisite bokeh is rendered by the nine-blade aperture, producing smooth, round orbs of out-of-focus light that enhance the visual appeal of your images, making it a stylistic choice for photographers aiming to create visually captivating content.
Whether you're a photographer seeking stunning shallow depth-of-field imagery, handling challenging low-light situations, or a videographer looking for perfect narrative filming capabilities, the Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 CF APO Lens for Canon RF is an exceptional choice that combines innovation, versatility, and advanced optical performance.
