Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?THOMAS F : If you are using the FFR507X-00 Field Flattener/Focal reducer with a 2" drawtube (what most telescopes have) you will need to buy this adapter. It does not come with the Field Flattener/Focal reducer.

Adapter works well

If you have the Explore Scientific 3" Field Flattener/Focal Reducer you will need this adapter to use with a 2" drawtube, which most telescopes have. Works great--just remove the front 3" adapter and screw this one in. By the way the Field Flattener/Focal reducer works great--on my Lunt 152mm f/7.9 refractor it gives tack-sharp, round stars edge-to-edge even with a full-frame camera (Canon 6D). Some vignetting, but that is expected.
