The U168 XT is a compact yet versatile USB 2.0 Hi-Speed audio interface compatible with both Mac and PC. It features a total of 8 input channels and 6 output channels, all of which are available for simultaneous use. This durable audio interface is equipped with a 24-bit / 96kHz solution, providing balanced 1/4" TRS line connectors.
For added versatility, it includes two integrated microphone preamps with XLR inputs on the front of the unit, switchable +48V phantom power, and two Hi-Z instrument inputs for electric guitars. Additionally, it offers coaxial digital S/PDIF input and outputs.
The U168 XT also boasts an integrated professional headphone amplifier with an output on the front, alongside an integrated monitoring mixer. External keyboards, synthesizers, and sound modules can be connected via the MIDI inputs and outputs on the backside of the unit.
This audio interface is powered by fast, high-performance, low-latency drivers based on ESI's EWDM and DirectWIRE technology. It supports the latest WDM, ASIO 2.0, and CoreAudio technology for both Mac and PC, making it compatible with all current standard audio applications for professional use.
The U168 XT comes bundled with a powerful software package for professional recording, song creation, audio content mixing, and more. This includes Bitwig Studio 8-Track for producing, performing, and designing sounds, and inTone 2 ESI Edition by Audified for producing mixes of multiple audio signals and instruments, playing files, changing tracks, preparing streams for podcasts and recordings.
