Crisp, clear, and detailed audio in the sub-100 dollar range. The consensus is that this is one of the best IEMs on the market and the audio performance more than back up those claims.

Excellent detail and accuracy, as well as isolation from outside noise. With the included foam tips I did not have to go that deep to get the good deal required for deep bass. I was afraid they would not have enough bass after reading others reviews but I don't think they were getting a good enough fit. They are not bass heavy by any means but very balanced, thus deserving their studio edition moniker. I also own Sony MDR-V6 and 7506 headphones, Yamaha EPH-200 in ears, Ascend Acoustic CBM-170 bookshelf monitors, and these Etymotics punch up there with them.

I just started getting into IEMs and the HiFi world and this is pretty good. I feel like it?s not too exciting but rather simple and insanely detailed. The noise isolation is crazy and the fit takes just a day or two to get used to as the triple flange tips go pretty deep into the ear. I love the deeper insertion as music goes straight into the ear canal and doesn?t hit my outer ear, music is so crisp and crystal clear. My first impression of it was just meh but after a few days I realized it truly is something I?m going to love for a long time. Honestly this might be my endgame, I don?t feel like any other IEM could be as simple and detailed as this.

Some of the best IEMs you can buy at any price with a truly neutral response. Great with most genres.

Pretty great sounding headphones. Only gripe is with comfort and fit. Since the earbuds are inserted far into your ear, the buds can get a little itchy and uncomfortable if used for longer periods of time.

To begin with, I rarely give reviews to products I buy. But these are so great that I feel it's injustice if I don't write something. The music I listen to is mostly classical with occasionally some jazz and country. I was tired of listening to my Sony WH-1000's muddy sound, but I want to get something that I can use on the road with some sound isolation. I use AKG K702 at home mostly. These earbuds easily beats many way more expensive options out there. I tested these along side of Audio Technica ATH-E50, Sennheiser IE300, and ER4SR. Etymotic beats Audio Technica and Sennheiser by miles in terms of clarity and accuracy. ER4SR gets a little more clarity but it is also more fatiguing to listen to. To my view, the value of these is simply amazing. I even found myself wanting to go with these rather than my K702 at home because the clarity of these is just that good. (Sound stage is definitely not as good as K702.) These earbuds expose other companies for overcharging on their products. I don't doubt some way more expensive IEMs out there might sound better than these. But at that point, I'd rather spend that money and go listen to music at live performances than getting some ridiculously expensive headphones. The only "down side" of these is that it takes some time to get used to the three-flange tips or the form tips. I like the form tips. Once you get used to these, they provide excellent sound isolation.

Good for cleaning out your ears. Kind of uncomfortable, especially after 2-3 hours wearing. Sound quality is OK.

First, this product was shipped when they said it would, was in perfect condition, and was well packaged. Thank you. These are stellar IEMs. The sound is crisp and clear. Great detail, and they take very well to parametric EQ to the Harman Curve. For the price, they are untouchable. They are packaged with an extra set of four sizes of the new double flange tips, but I found I liked the triple flange better. Although I wish a more robust cable was available, I highly recommend these.

The Etymotic ER2SE will give your 90% of the sound of the more expensive ER4SR/XR. I have the 4XR and when I compared these 2SE with them, they are so close in sound. The 4XR has a bit more bass and a bit more treble, but many people might not hear the difference unless they listen closely to the same song several times. These stay very close to the Etymotic "house" sound of superb clarity and light but accurate bass. Even being a dynamic driver, a first for Ety, they are not bass heavy. Bass is accurate and clean, but "lean" compared to consumer-happy sloppy bass earbuds. Construction is up to Ety standard, and plenty of different types of eartips come with it. Experimenting with different eartips is essential to getting a full sound from these -- there MUST be a complete seal. I prefer the Shure EABKF1 "olive" tips over the Ety rubber tips -- they are much more comfortable and don't require as deep of insertion, and can be worn for hours.

The Etymotic er2se is a great product. VERY neutral in sound presentation. Which.is good for mixing and monitoring, but if shopping for earphones for "fun" uses, strongly consider the er2xr version. You will need to be patient enough to find the proper fitting ear tips (many sizes included in purchase) to be able to use these and get the best sound possible.

This earbud/earphone is by far better than the headphones with electronic noise-cancelling when using on an airplane. Its much easier to hear and understand movies, without the background noise of the engines. Love love love these headphones. I had previously had a similar model made by Altec Lansing (IM716) which were discontinued years ago (mine were about 15 years old) and these are the best I've come across since.

While they do give you some tips, they don?t give you many of them, you have Two pairs of Flange tips that comes in large and medium, and then 1 pair of foam that are in the size of medium. Then they give you a filter tool and some filters. It would?ve been better if they also included other types of flange tips, not just triple flange, having double flange or something. ER2SE deep inserting design took a while to get used to, evidently I did and the medium triple flange tips felt alright in my ears. The foam tips also worked very well at isolation, I had the portable AC going and I barely heard it. I did ran into an issue with the foam tips after parts of it mainly the tip of it not returning the original foam after removing them from my ears. I didn?t have any problems with removing the ER2SE from my ears with either ear-tips, foams took a bit longer due to the nature with the way they work. The small carry case was a nice bonus, nice quality and every thing, just could be tad bigger so you can insert stuff into the pockets of the case better. With the Foam tips in use every thing sounds good, instruments and vocals sounds very good without bunching up on each other. There's no brightness any where and the voices in the songs are not thin at all. Drums and snares sound like there suppose to. Bass sounds just right too, if the song has it, it will be there, if it doesn?t then it wont. Over all I?m enjoying the Er2se very well.

I use these for passive noise isolation, and they're great for that. The sound profile is great and extends well. Not for bassheads though. The tips go deep into the ear, which might be uncomfortable for some people. It takes a bit more power than your average earbud, but not that much more.

Tremendous value for money. Really opens up details on familiar tracks, making them sound new and interesting. Sound great connected straight to smartphone and only get better with an amp. Also respond well to various EQ settings. Comfortably hold their own against earphones costing more than double the price of these. I use these as a benchmark for all other IEMs.
