The neck is finished with a hand-rubbed satin urethane back, a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and a color-matched "hockey stick" headstock adorned with the EVH logo decal.The 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard is equipped with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays, designed for smooth transitions and precise note articulation. Unlike its predecessor, this updated 5150 model features an HH pickup configuration, controlled by a three-way toggle switch for versatile sound options.The custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup delivers a perfectly balanced EQ curve, offering punchy articulation, sweet sustain, and thick, chunky rhythms. The EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucker neck pickup provides robust overdrive and endless sustain, maintaining articulate cleans when the volume is dialed down.The guitar features a custom-designed low friction volume knob for smooth volume transitions, and a high friction tone knob that stays in place even when accidentally bumped. A new addition to this model is the lower bout kill switch, offering more control over your sound.The 5150 Standard is equipped with a "dive-bomb" certified EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose bridge and a locking tailpiece with fine tuners for each string.
