flag use in hard desert soil

The flags I had been using had rigid metal stems. Getting them into the hard soil we have in the Phoenix area was difficult but usually possible. The flags I got from you have flexible plastic stems and they are thicker than the metal stems. I find them impossible to get into the soil here.
