This amplifier head is a direct evolution from the highly acclaimed EVH 5150III series, offering the signature searing sound and growling gain that Eddie Van Halen popularized throughout his illustrious career. Crafted by the esteemed amp engineer James Brown, the 5150 Iconic Series 80W Head is equipped with four EL34 power tubes and features a sophisticated, multi-stage hybrid preamp section, anchored by a pair of ECC83 tubes. This configuration provides the modern guitarist with all the firepower needed in an easy-to-use format.The amplifier head includes two versatile channels, each with an additional voicing option. The Green channel is equipped with an overdrive button, allowing you to transition from lush clean tones to heightened gain effortlessly. Meanwhile, the Red channel's burn button introduces a fiery crunch, perfect for delivering blistering lead tones. Each channel is outfitted with its own gain and volume controls, facilitating seamless volume matching when switching between clean and high-gain settings.
