This comprehensive ceiling loudspeaker package includes a bezel assembly, grille, rear enclosure, and a 4-inch coaxial two-way loudspeaker, all designed to deliver outstanding sound quality. The system features a waveguide-coupled titanium-coated dome tweeter, ensuring crisp and clear high-frequency reproduction.The EVID C4.2 employs a sophisticated 2nd order crossover network at 3.3kHz, complete with a robust protection circuit to safeguard the network, woofer, and tweeter drivers from excessive power levels. This ensures long-lasting performance and reliability. The integrated transformer offers versatile power options, allowing you to select from 1.88 (70V only), 3.75, 7.5, 15, or 30 watts, compatible with both 70-V and 100-V lines, or an 8 Ohms bypass. This selection is easily adjustable via a convenient switch located on the front baffle.Designed with both aesthetics and durability in mind, the loudspeaker's perforated grille is finished in a semi-gloss white powder-coated enamel, blending seamlessly with most ceiling designs. The baffle and bezel are crafted from UL 94V-0 rated ABS, ensuring fire safety and resilience. The rear enclosure, made from zinc-plated heavy-gauge steel, is lined with fiberglass damping material to optimize internal volume for enhanced low-frequency performance.For easy installation, the rear cover includes a provision for a junction box fitting, providing access to a 4-pin terminal block that supports direct connection with 12-gauge wire and pass-through to additional speakers. The EVID C2.4D model also features a 3-pin fire-safety rated input block for added security. A tile bridge is included to ensure safe suspension in drop ceilings with mineral wool or other fiber-based tiles.The EVID line of ceiling speakers is engineered to function cohesively across various ceiling constructions, offering wide dispersion, high efficiency, and high maximum output.
