The input panel, recessed into the rear of the speaker, safeguards connectors within the cabinet envelope. This panel features NL4 input and loop-through connections, along with a passive/biamp switch, offering versatile connectivity options.This multi-functional monitor is a smart investment for live sound companies, thanks to its ability to serve multiple system roles, thereby keeping more of the rental inventory in use rather than idle in the warehouse. To optimize the speakers for specific uses, EV has developed a comprehensive library of DSP settings.The recommended amplifier match for the MFX monitor is the Dynacord TGX or IPX series. These loudspeaker settings are managed by Dynacord's SONICUE control software, which loads them into the amplifier DSP section. The MFX-15MC features a constant directivity waveguide that provides a narrow pattern when used horizontally as a monitor, and a wide pattern when oriented vertically as a short-throw loudspeaker. This large waveguide controls coverage more uniformly and to a lower frequency than competitive models.The unique design of the waveguide interacts with the woofer to create a bipole output, enhancing coverage control through the midrange frequencies. This configuration contributes to superior gain-before-feedback performance. The waveguide also functions as a structural support for the grille, ensuring it can withstand even a lead singer's boot resting directly on the speaker.The coaxial driver and horn assembly can be uninstalled and re-installed with a 90-degree rotation, altering the coverage pattern. The MFX-15MC also includes an integrated pole cup and four M10 suspension points for attaching custom U brackets for wall-mount or flown use.
