When you need it, you NEED it!
I've only used this cover a couple of times, both when my son was running in December in snow. Although th Canon 'L' lenses are weather resistant, the camera body is decidedly not. With the EWA Cape, I'm able to concentrate on the images without the distraction of worrying about the equipment. It's a little tough to store in my bag, but I always take it with me. Happy with the purchase!
A flexible, clear rain cover that will protect a camera from the elements, rain, snow, sleet, and sand, the Ewa-Marine CZ-100 Hurricane Photo Zoom Rain Cape is similar to the C-AF100, but holds a large telephoto zoom lens such as a 80-200mm, 80-400mm, 100-400mm.
Manufactured from special PVC material the rain cape has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port protecting the lens against rain, salt spray, sand and dirt.
The front glass is held in position by means of an included 77mm adapter ring (Other adapter ring sizes are also available) that connects to the lens's filter thread. The cape allows both hand held as well as tripod operation of the camera. Please Note: Not for underwater use.
