I've been using these for a while on my speed lights and AD200's with the Fresnel heads. I have three packs of these now and they work great. If you want to start experimenting with colored gels these are a fantastic intro for both beginners and even pros. The colors come out really well. I bought some sheet gels from big corpo online store but they REALLY suck. They aren't colored enough to even tint the light of a strobe. Don't waste your money on those. Get these if you have lights with Fresnel heads. They also stow really nicely for travel with the case they come with. These coupled with speed lights make for an awesome lightweight on location gel setup. I noticed that these newer packs come with several bands now so if you have more than one light you can gel all of them with one pack unless you want multiples of a single color then you'll need to buy extra packs. The first pack I bought only had one band. After that first pack I was using rubber bands and live strong bracelets to hold the gels on. It's nice that they have included more now. Well worth it in my book.

After watching Damien Lovegrove use gels similar to these in a YouTube tutorial I decided to pick some up and give them a try. They?re great for adding accent lighting to the subject or casting different colors on the background. They?re incredibly easy to swap out. I leave the elastic band on my main Speedlites at all times so I can pop a gel on anytime I need to. A great range of colors to compliment any setting!

A little pricey but good quality filters. Colors are pure without odd color fringing. Use these on a variety of flashed without any problem. Did stop using rubber bands to mount and got a multi pack of Rouge rubber bands (small $$) with the little ears. Makes it much easier to mount and remove these filters. Recommended.

I purchased these for color enhancement and to replicate the color of the rising sun. Does a great job. I like how they attach and store too. Well worth it.

I use the gels for highlight colors on portrait backgrounds. I discovered that sometimes it is necessary to turn the gels 90-degrees on the speedlight to limit white light from the speedlight which can leak out from the two sides of the gels that do not have the mounting tabs.

I have found the Rogue Gels Universal Lighting Filter Kit for Flashes to be a quality piece of gear. The markings on the gels that tell you the number of stops of light each gel uses gives me a starting point for getting the best light on the subject. The gels are of a consistent high quality. And, for me consistency means a lot. I would not hesitate in recommending these gels. Well worth the investment in my opinion.

Love this product. It takes up almost no space in my camera bag. The addition of the side tabs make it easier to switch out the gels. The size of each gel more than covers the flash head of my Flashpoint Zoom Li-on. The only way this could be better is if there were more colours. There's technically only one blue creative gel in the set.

Got these gels for the price and the name. I received them promptly in the mail, which was a big part of my order, ok so I went out to Joshua Tree National Park in the desert and attached a red gel to my Canonon 600 Ex Speedlite. The ease of attaching to the flash was easy, since the rubber band has a tab on each side to pull, so you can slide the gel in. I took a couple pictures of Skull ?? rock and got amazing photos, after a couple adjustments. I’m happy with the results. Also these gels came in a pouch. I cut three personal envelopes and taped the side of the envelopes to make three separate dividers for the gels. This item is user friendly and great quality fir the price.

In order to use light and strobe without the look of a novice, much of the time filters are needed, The Rogue Gels are labeled and easy to use, these filters not only will blend light but also allow you to use light creatively. Along with your mind these are a must for expressing your style with strobes.

These work great! I prefer the Expoimaging brand over the cheaper ones because Expo's filters are clearly marked! Each individual filter has the filter type AND LIGHT LOSS in f-stops clearly and permanently marked on the filter. Eliminates having to make an educated guess or comparison when, say, you want the 1/4 CTO gel and don't want to hold it up against other similar CTOs to see if it's the "lighter" one. If you use color correction gels often, especially for warming faces with different skin tones,you know what I'm talking about.

Works pretty well and does what it says it's supposed to do. I just wish it came with 2 bands. A regular rubber band works fine but those little handles are pretty convenient.

I bought this for the CTO gel. But I can't wait to try out some of the other colors. It comes in a nice velcro bag with dividers to separate the gels from each other. It also has a thick rubber band to attach the gel to your flash.

I mostly use the color correcting filters. I shot a birthday party using the filters to correct the flourescent lighting that was present, I was so impressed with the results that I will never shoot those type of events anymore without using these filters. The foreground and background areas are corrected equally making the whole picture blend together. If you have shot inside events before then you know that the subject may be perfectly exposed and the background have a diffrent color cast very hard to fix in post editing.

I bought these so I can correct color and WB as well as play. They're lots of fun to play with for smoke and water photography. Fairly easy to put on with the accompanying band. They're expensive for what they are. But decent product.
