Amateur photographer
Bought this on recommendation from an Adorama sales rep. So far so good. I do find it a little more complicated than I hoped. I thought I would be able to attach it to my camaera , plug in the flash lights and it would work. But no such luck. Directions aren't for amateurs. But I figured it out eventuually and for the money, I'm happy with the purchase.

a hell of a flash for the money
I bought one of these before, but this is an new
unit with many imporvements. Almost like the Nikon

Good Inexpensive Flash
This flash provides outstanding value for those of us on a tight budget. Performance is very good and features are equivalent to brand name flash units costing twice as much. The case is made of a lighter weight of plastic and most likely will not stand up to a lot of rough treatment; but, for a [$] bill, I can afford to be careful with it.The Adorama specs say the recycle time is 8 seconds on fresh alkalines. My experience is that it recycles in less than 4 seconds on fresh batteries and nothing as long as 8 seconds until the batteries are almost gone (55+ flashes).

I like it enough that I'm buying another
Among other uses, I like useing it for bouncing the flash off the walls & ceilings. I plan on buying another one, & use both at the same time.

Plastic Junk
The first time I tried to use this flash the flimsy clip holding the diffuser fell off and fell into the body of the flash rendering it useless. This flash is cheaply made. Spend more money and get a better built product.

Flashpoint
I am very aggravated! I received this flash as a present. No instruction in the box except a sale add! I have a D5000 Nikon camera and thought this flash would be easy to use and match up with my camera but instead I have a flash that does not work. After attaching it to the camera and turning the on button, the TTL appears and the zoom button lights up but then that's it! 6 button but nothing happens when you press them. A brand new flash without instructions!
