Very happy
This was back ordered when I ordered it & I was a little disappointed, however, they automatically filled the order & shipped very quickly. Although I haven’t used it the quality seems to be more than expected!

Very useful

This really helps
Bird photographer. Always struggling to get enough flash reach when using a big telelens when shooting birds. I couldn't believe the extra flash reach I got with the X-Tender.

Should have bought this a long time ago.
I am a bird photographer (not professional)and although I do have a poweful flash, the reach is often too short when shooting with a long telelens. The first time I used the X-Tender at home I could not believe the extra reach it gave me.
Really happy with the Flash X-Tender.

Great Product!
This is an awesome product for anyone that loves bird photography. It is easy to use with your external flash and even on a cloudy day you can get that "catch" light in the birds eyes. It's like a little ray of sunshine! I love it.
One word of warning, I clip a cardboard cover over the fresnel prism while it is on the flash. This is so the sun can't hit it and cause overheating.

i use this item to take pictures of birds it gives a great boost to the flash if you are using a telephoto lense

Great Function
I used it on my SB900 as fill flash for bird images with a 400mm manual focus Nikon and it did a great job of filling in with rear sun lit birds. A little worried about the durability of the velcro on the lense. Still well worth the price if you need to project you flash further than the capability of the flash.

Amazing product
This is an amazing product, you would not think that something so simple can be so effective but it certainly is. I use it to shoot birds with my 500mm F/4 Nikkor lens. It makes a big difference when the light is anywhere except right behind you. This is a small, lightweight product that is quite durable. Make sure the flash is mounted at least 12 inches from the lens...to prevent the flash eyes. I use it primary for fill but it works however you need it to at long range.

Extends your Reach
I shoot birds in early morning light around the wildlife drive at Ding Darling refuge in Sanibel Island, Florida. The Beamer is a great product that can turn a trash picture into a keeper. Without raising the ISO to a noise producing level, the beamer allows me to throw light into the shodows hiding a Green Heron or Yellow crown night heron with ease. It allows higher shutter speeds insuring sharp details. On any morning you see the serious photographers all using beamers. It assembels quickly, attaches to your flash easly, and stores flat in your camera bag. A well designed, light product, that works.
