This is an extremely reliable and versatile unit, produced by a firm which specializes in lighting. The multiple adapters make it useable on a wide spectrum of cameras, and the ability to direct light from either side as well as full is a real boon. Operation by both battery and AC is another advantage. Great for pictures of small jewelry items and coins as well as portraits!
I love this Macro light ring
So far I only use it for macro. It works great, I just have to remember to screw it on securely. I always carry extra batteries, because sometimes I forget to turn it off. There is a little clear button in back of it that you push to check the flash. Just turn it on and push the little button. It is very bright. I love the fact that it has ring adapters that also come with it.

Finally, a macro LED ring light at a reasonable price that is also easy to use. The Ring 48 delivers 48 LED's that have a continuous run time of approxiamately 1.1/2 hours on just 2 "AA" NiMh batteries (not included) or 1-1/2 hours on alkaline batteries (not included).
Also, it can be powered by an included AC adapter. This is a very easy light to use. Set the camera to automatic, turn on the Ring 48 and take pictures. That's all there is to it.
This ring light can be switched from lighting just the left 24 LED's or the right 24 LED's or all 48 LED's at once. Unit comes complete with lens mount adapters from 49mm to 67mm.
