Farpoint Skyscout mounting screw stud is for far-sight binocular bracket. This special thumb screw allows the Celestron SkyScout to be attached to the latest version of the FAR-Sight mount in place of a red dot finder. With this configuration, you may use your binoculars in tandem with your SkyScout.
It can be used with the latest version of the Far-Sight only.The Far-Sight system is constructed almost entirely of stainless steel. Stainless steel has a low magnetic attraction. The SkyScout is very sensitive to magnetic interference.
