Shopper : Will this mask work well with a celestron 8i telescope?ERNEST A : The adjustment screws don't work well for me. Need to attach with painters tape or something. I think they also sell one just for 8 inch SC scopes.EDWARD B : Hi I just want to let all know, I have the Farpoint fp402 Bahtinov focus mask for my 8 inch scope with dew shield and it works great.MICHAEL F : I would think it should.JUAN J : Since it is adjustable, it should work well, but I would use one specific for the 8i, or build one myself. The mask without the hole uses pegs to keep the mask affixed to the OTA. The mask with the hold just rests on that hole.

Works great to achieve focus for astrophotography. Simple to use. Fits my Orion 8" Newtonian Astrograph perfectly; viewing focus on a Canon t3i 600d.

Solid construction

I had one of these for my 5 inch SCT, and this was equally built as well. I like a thick plastic product because it is built to last unlike a DIY type mask. I would recommend these to anyone

Farpoint FP402 Bahtinov Focus Mask

I used it on my 6 inch Astro Tech RC Astrograph. Really worked well on a bright star. Very important to also do another check on a dimmer star for better focus.
