I use this for head and shoulders portraits. It is light enough to hold with one one and shoot with the other.

I used this softbox outdoor at night. i put the softbox in the bushes to add more light with my built-in flash. The area was perfectly lit up.

Not near the quality of a lastolite box but for the price you cannot be it. I do not like the little metal hooks to hook the diffusion up.

Nice way to get a bit of sofness out of a shoe flash. Doesn't allow for too much bounce in side so beam is still slightly tight, but it's really quick. Just barely holds on though so not good for a windy area or where it might get bumped. Nice backlight for tight settings.

Very portable. If you cover the small internal diffuser with aluminum foil this also works as an inexpensive beauty dish. In addition, this comes with a flash bracket at no additional cost. The only problem which I have encountered with the bracket is that it is not adjustable enough to easily accommodate a radio transceiver.

I have tried other such products. I could not get them back in the case. This works well and packs easily for carrying. It is well made. I got it on sale. I wish I could get another for the same price.

The light produced by this soft box is nice, it's small, easy to carry. Folds nicely. The biggest problem is the bracket that holds the soft box. Is weak and the softbox does not stay put on the ring. Also the screw of the braket is not of good quality. If you are a pro or make money with your fotography I'd spend the money on a more rugged product. Otherwise for a hobby might be a good value.

This is a very inexpensive item. It packs very easily into its own carrying case. Included in the price is the mounting hardware for your flash. The only problem that I have with this are the wireless receivers that I use to trigger the flash. Mine are little bit too tall.

I'm always looking for better lighting while shooting in the field, and this is as good as I can expect for the money. I shoot a lot of herpetofauna (amphibians, reptiles) in tropical and desert settings, so diffuse lighting is a necessity. With the inner baffle in place, the light is nicely diffused, but not too diminished when used my SB-800. For a main light source, I find that my SB-600 is a bit too weak with both layers of diffusion. 16" is a good size for most of what I do, although I'm seeing how I could benefit from a 24" in some situations. Being that I'm using speedlights, and I need to be mobile, I think the size is a good compromise. The box's design is a bit stiff when folding to put back in its bag, and it's not ultra-compact, but these are sacrifices for the speed with which it can be set up. I honestly expected something of lesser quality for such a low price. Considering that I expect it to get beat up out in the field, I'm quite happy with the quality.

Great light weight soft box I use them with speed lights makes a nice fill light. Keep in mind they are not large studio soft boxes but for on location and products they work great Love them.

This softbox is wonderful. Exactly what I needed for on-the-fly location portraits. This a product you don't want to over think: it works exactly like you think it should. The setup was very easy and the hardware was sturdier than I thought it would be. Very solid metal. The ONLY thing I don't like is the set screw used to lock the flash onto the shoe doesn't grab it that well. If the softbox was angled up at all the flash might slip out and fall. I don't anticipate that ever being a problem but I would be prepared to fasten it with a spring clamp or zip tie if I ever needed to angle the box that way. Other than that, a GREAT product for a GREAT price.

In short, it works ok but: the softbox creates a nice soft light, the problem is on the ring holding system that supports the softbox, the spring that wraps around the ring (the base of the softbox itself) of the base is not strong enough, on windy situations the softbox will fly away as it will get loose from the holder ring, this is not what I expected, otherwise it works fine, but I will probably get a better one. On a budget for a beginner it will be ok inside a house etc, but I will advice to invest on a nicer more rugged desing unit and skip this one for a more PRO user. For the price is fine but you do get what you paid for on this one.

The soft box is small and light weight making it easy to move around or carry with you. It can be hand held if needed or used on a light stand. Weakest feature is the attachment for the small strobe or speedlight to the bracket in back of the soft box. It would help if it were stronger and more stable. You have to be careful with the attachment, but you can make it work for you. The price of the small soft box is very affordable and works very well once you get going with it.

I use the product for Portraits taken of the family. It is a different type of light as compared to an umbrella. I love the softness of the light and am thinking of getting another one for my second flash.

With only a few parts, you wouldn't think it needs instructions. Until you go to set it up. Lacking directions is a major oversight.

Great soft light, haven't had it long but seems durable. Only one gripe. Come on guys the joke is OVER! How do you get it back in the bag?!?! This thing jumped out of the bag like it had life and hasn't gone back since I first opened it. They seriously need some instructions or a video on Adarama.tv. Do us a favor guys!!!

Great softbox at a reasonable price. Folds flat easily, not sure about ever getting them back in the original bag, but not an issue for me. Sets up quick, no rods to connect or install. Just "pop" and ready to go. The speedlight bracket that comes with could be a little sturdier... but definitely not a issue. Works fine and if that's what keeps the price so reasonable... then its Ok with me. A very affordable option if you're looking to add a softbox to your setup. VERY easy to use.

This softbox folds into a tiny little carrier; it is very well designed and easy to set up.

Soft box in not a snug fit to flash ring and falls off. The fix is wraping the flash ring with electrician tape. You get what you pay for and is worth what I paid for it.

the issue I had was the cold shoe, but I swapped it out with a screw and nuts to get my pocket wizard to work well with it. the cold shoe was too small.

The ball head is of poor quality, I think I broke it trying to collapse it, a wire popped through the outside rim the first time I opened it. I ended up just folding it flat and using another reflector bag to store it.[...]

A simple fix for this kit: bigger thumb screws that could be tightened by hand. I have to use pliers. Other than that, it's great little soft box. And it's easy to get back in its little pouch when you realize that that there are two steps: 1. collapse the box so that it lays flat 2. twist it into thirds in the same way you do with round collapsible reflectors/diffusers.

These are great on a light-stand for portrait sessions,(nice even light), but they are outstanding at events when used with my Manfrotto Telescoping Flash Bracket. Very light and easy to attach. They fold down into a very small kit-bag. Very well built. Great product! That's why I bought two!

Perfect unit for off camera flash units. Refolding a bit tricky but easy once you get the hang of it. Small package and lightweight. I find it quite versatile as fill or main location light. For the price, this unit can't be beat!

Very durable. No instructions but I figured out how to get it back in the case myself. But I went to the lastolite website to figure out how to sit the bracket. The seat for the flash is really cheap so I replaced that. Good buy!

The softbox is being used with my Nikon SB-900's & SB-800's as fill light outside the studio. The quality of the softbox is great, even though quite difficult to twist down back into its case. The cold shoe is too small for the SB-900, so I replaced it with a Stroboframe locking accessory shoe. The only problem n ow is the new adjustable shoe doesn't slide to & from the softbox for adjusting. It isn't necessary however, since the SB-900 is large enough to fill the hole. Overall, this softbox is a great value for the money.

Great little unit for a great price. Watch opening it the first time. The material is spring loaded so to speak and jumped out of my hand the first time. Otherwise love it.

Ahh the economy. It has driven many of us insane trying to figure out how to do more with less. Clients constantly approach us asking for miracles with shoestring budgets. A fine example is shooting ..
