Weighing approximately half of a standard 4mm ND filter, these filters are the lightest in their class, making them the ideal companion for ultra-lightweight matte boxes like the Bright Tangerine Misfit Atom. The compatibility of these filters extends to most matte boxes from leading brands like Bright Tangerine, Chroziel, Wooden Camera, and ARRI. This flexibility allows you to seamlessly switch from matte box setups for larger glass to lightweight photography-based setups. The Firecrest Ultra Cine Superslim filters utilize the same advanced IRND filter technology seen in numerous major feature films and commercials. Despite being half the thickness and weight of a traditional 4mm cinema filter, they deliver the same legendary Firecrest performance at a fraction of the cost. These filters are also compatible with the Firecrest 100mm MKII holder, which allows you to adapt 4x5.65 Cine Superslim filters to threaded photography and cinema lenses ranging from 86mm to 37mm screw-in sizes. The MKII holder includes a geared rotating 86mm circular polarizer for maximum flexibility when using smaller lenses. The Firecrest Ultra filters feature our proprietary near-IR suppression technology, ensuring superior IRND performance.
