This Fotodiox lens mount adapter is made with high standard precision. The leaf spring design in the adapter holds the lens tight to the camera body ensuring there is no play between the camera and the lens. The all metal design and polished surface is designed to guarantee smooth mounting and long lasting experiences. This adapter also has a built-in aperture control tab which allows for control over the lens iris. This adapter allows Deckel-Bayonett (DKL) Lenses to fit on a Canon EOS Digital camera body. The added microchip (or dandelion chip) enables the focusing confirmation function with EOS Digital bodies, which helps the photographer to manually focus even in dark situations.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.

Note: The aperture markings on the adapter are based on a 50mm f/1.9 lens; when used with any other lens the aperture markings will be off (will not represent the true aperture used), however you will still have full range over the lens iris.
