This worked better than I expected. I think my 17-70 mm lens is now a true macro lens.

21mm fotodiox extension tube.

this was a tight fit with my 50mm full frame canon lens on my canon T6i. Did go on easily with 18-55 and 55-250 EFS lenses. Works well. P.S. the 18-55IS is very sharp at 55 and provides good magnification by itself. So, if you're not shooting at lot, maybe you can get by with just the lens. But this accessory is very inexpensive compared to the canon ext. tube and works well with sub frame lenses-both auto focus and exposure.

Good value

This short extension tube does exactly what it is supposed to: shorten the minimum focusing distance and maintain autofocus. Light loss is minimal (may not be very noticeable if at all), but that is because this is a short length and does not provide a lot of extension (but can be stacked with another tube). One thing to keep in mind is that teleconverters will not fit behind the extension tube because the back opening is a rectangular shape.
