This Fotodiox lens mount adapter is made with high standard precision. The leaf spring design in the adapter holds the lens tight to the camera body ensuring there is no play between the camera and the lens. Its all metal design and polished surface is designed to assure smooth mounting and long lasting experiences. This Adaptor has a built-in 1.4x Multi-Coated Focus Correction lens to adjust for infinity focus, the glass element can be removed for macro photography (for instructions on how to remove the glass element click here). This lens mount adapter allows all Sony Alpha (A-mount) lenses and Minolta AF (A-mount) to fit on the Canon EOS camera body and still maintain the full control of the aperture adjustment by use of the adapters built-in aperture dial. The dial move smoothly (no click-stops) allowing the user to quickly and easily adjust the aperture as needed for any given situation.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode.
