Awesome Jaguar

I own three higher end Gibson guitars, but I have wanted a Jaguar ever since I began learning to play as a kid. So, I finally ordered one from Adorama and it arrived in two days, delivered right to my front door. The guitar is stunning with candy apple red paint and chrome accents. Out of the box it was in perfect condition and ready to play. The only change I made was to replace the 9-42 strings with 10-46s. The 4-position toggle and treble bleed switches enable a wide variety of tonal options playing thru my Fender Deluxe Reverb amp. The 24-inch scale length make chord fingering and string bending easier without too much fatigue. This one is a keeper. And of course, Adorama offered the best price of anyone out there. What more could you ask for?

Finally able to afford my dream guitar

I’ve wanted to play a jaguar since I was a teenager and the grunge scene was huge. However, I couldn’t afford one. Now I’ve grown up and have more money and Adorama had a great price on this as well. It’s beautifully made and sounds excellent. I will admit I’m more of a humbucker fan than single coils but if you put the switch to position 4 in series then that gives the guitar a bit more grunt it’s not the same as a true humbucker but good. The construction of the guitar was flawless. Came in and I just tuned it up and it was ready to go. The action isn’t crazy low like some other brands so if you like low action you may need to get it setup. For me I like that it’s a bit “different” than my other guitars. The short scale length definitely leads to the strings feeling slinky with the 9s that come on it, so far I’ve held off the temptation to change to 10s because I kind of like this different feel. Bends are really easy. I have had zero issues with strings falling out of the saddle.

An eye-catchingly adventurous design - an exquisite exercise in chrome, plastic and wood - the Jaguar guitar's delightfully off-kilter aesthetics and unique sound made it a darling of underground artists from the '70s to today. Though it was the pinnacle of guitar technology when it was released in 1962, time (and technology) marches on so they updated the Jaguar with modern features and materials, hot-rodding it for today's players. The result? The American Professional Jaguar - a dangerous instrument with bite.

Developed by Michael Frank, the brand-new V-Mod Jaguar pickup design expands the guitar's sonic palette with hot, vintage-informed tone delivering plenty of midrange punch and definition. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume control, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern "Deep C"-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The improved tremolo and bridge incorporate as crew-in arm and brass Mustang saddles that stabilize the strings while adding a touch of sonic zip to your tone. The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Jaguar is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.
