Packaged very nicely, first by Fender (bass was in a pretty nice gig bag, inside the Fender box), and then protected very well by Adorama. I love this bass! I had never played a Fender before getting this one, and wow, it exceeded all my expectations. Pictures do not do this classic masterpiece justice. A must have for any serious bass player. For me, it is the perfect bass as far as the neck, tone and weight. Pickups are HOT, and very versatile. I did however immediately replace the bridge to a Fender High Mass, but that's just me. Literally, this bass has taken my playing to the next level. Adorama was awesome.
