My wife brought me home a Squier Affinity Stratocaster from a thrift store. I own some really nice Fender branded guitars, but none of them with a SSS pickups configuration so I was happy with what she found me. The stock pickups weren't that great though, also the frets were very rough. I can finish frets, and handle any kind of electronic maintenance so I decided to use the guitar as a platform for building the SSS strat I wanted, and that started with pickups. I chose the Yosemite based on my desire for something that sounds really really good with a clean tone. I feel like I hit a home run with these pups. They sound nice and buttery with fantastic articulation. You have to spend a LOT of money to get these pickups in your guitar from Fender. They sound so great. Thank you Adorama for getting these to me as soon as you could (a couple weeks.)

For guitar enthusiasts seeking the legendary sound that shaped a generation, the CuNiFe Wide Range Bridge Pickup in Chrome is a sonic treasure. This pickup is the first genuine CuNiFe-magnet-powered Wide Range pickup to be produced in over four decades, offering a revival of the iconic tone that has captivated musicians since its inception.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this pickup delivers a rich, bell-like humbucking tone that seamlessly blends full-bodied bass with crystal-clear treble. The CuNiFe pickups are renowned for their "hi-fi" clarity, ensuring that even when pushed to the limits, they retain their crisp attack and definition without compromise.
The design of the pickup is a nod to its vintage roots, featuring a lustrous chrome cover that houses the distinctive "3 3" exposed pole piece configuration. Adorned with the classic Fender logo, this pickup embodies the vintage-'70s aesthetic that is both visually and sonically appealing.
In the early 1970s, as popular music began to favor the richer sounds of humbuckers, Fender commissioned the expertise of acclaimed pickup designer Seth Lover. His task was to create a high-output dual-coil pickup with a unique Fender flavor. The result was the original Wide Range pickup, which utilized large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe-rod magnets to produce its uniquely brilliant sound. This sound became a hallmark of that era's Telecaster Custom, Thinline, and Deluxe guitars.
The CuNiFe Wide Range Bridge Pickup is not just a piece of Fender's storied history; it's a sought-after component by musicians across various genres. Its return is a celebration of the distinctive tonal qualities that have been missing since the Telecaster Custom was discontinued in 1979.
With this reissue, guitar players can once again experience the authentic, vintage-inspired tones that have been elusive for so long. Whether you're playing clean rhythms or pushing your amp for a more aggressive sound, the CuNiFe Wide Range Bridge Pickup in Chrome will deliver the performance and character that Fender enthusiasts have been yearning for.
