I love love love what I did to my Squier Strat by putting these pickups into it. The guitar sounds fantastic and is a genuine joy to play.

My wife brought me home a Squier Affinity Stratocaster from a thrift store. I own some really nice Fender branded guitars, but none of them with a SSS pickups configuration so I was happy with what she found me. The stock pickups weren't that great though, also the frets were very rough. I can finish frets, and handle any kind of electronic maintenance so I decided to use the guitar as a platform for building the SSS strat I wanted, and that started with pickups. I chose the Yosemite based on my desire for something that sounds really really good with a clean tone. I feel like I hit a home run with these pups. They sound nice and buttery with fantastic articulation. You have to spend a LOT of money to get these pickups in your guitar from Fender. They sound so great. Thank you Adorama for getting these to me as soon as you could (a couple weeks.)

Bring the vintage sound of the 1970s back to life with the CuNiFe Wide Range Neck Pickup, Chrome. This is the first authentic CuNiFe-magnet-powered Wide Range pickup to hit the market in over 40 years, and it's designed to deliver a rich, bell-like humbucking tone, complete with full bass and clear treble.
CuNiFe pickups are renowned for their "hi-fi" clarity, maintaining their attack and definition even when pushed to their limits. This model is no exception, offering a sound quality that is both powerful and precise.
The chrome cover of this Wide Range Neck Pickup features a unique "3 3" exposed pole piece design, topped off with the iconic Fender logo, adding a touch of vintage charm to your instrument. This design is a nod to the golden age of music when the fatter tones of humbuckers were all the rage.
In the early 1970s, Fender enlisted the expertise of acclaimed pickup designer Seth Lover to create a Fender-flavored take on a higher-output dual-coil pickup. The result was the Wide Range pickup, which used large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe-rod magnets to achieve its distinctively brilliant sound. This sound became a defining feature of that era's Telecaster Custom, Thinline, and Deluxe guitars.
The original-era real CuNiFe-magnet pickups have been sought after by musicians across all genres for decades. However, they became a rarity when the Telecaster Custom was discontinued in 1979. Now, with the CuNiFe Wide Range Neck Pickup, Chrome, you can once again experience the unique sound that made these pickups so popular.
