About Fender FSR '50s Telecaster

Fender revolutionized popular music and guitar playing in the early 1950s with the introduction of the Telecaster guitar. Designed simply, smartly and elegantly, it quickly became a trusted and revered go-to instrument for guitarists everywhere and it created a new sound for the 1950s and decades to come at the very heart of popular music.

The Classic Series '50s Telecaster Lacquer evokes the instrument in the decade of its origin, with retro stylings and the authentic quality Fender has earned a reputation for.

Construction & Build
This Telecaster is built like Fender's originals, with an ash body and maple neck. This combination delivers great resonance and a tone unique to Fender guitars, not to mention a stiff and responsive neck that stays in tune and plays clear as a bell up and down the scale. The Tele shape lends itself to the pickup configuration featured here, with two single-coil units installed to give you tonal versatility and get the most out of the body's projection.

Components & Hardware

A big part of Fender's brand appeal is the consistency of their electric guitars, which the company achieves through total control over the componentry that goes into their stock instruments. Fender's American Vintage '58 pickup resides at the bridge and a P-90 single-coil unit sits at the neck, providing a bright, warm output you'll fall in love with (if you haven't already). Great output from the guitar gives you more to work with at the amplified end of things, eliminating the buzzing and infra-distortion that cheaper components will sometimes put out.
