What can I say? Super great price on a quality guitar. It was the best price i found and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve learned to check Adorama first.

Fender Standards are aka "Made in Mexico" or MIM Strats. Probably the best bang for buck in the line. I can't put mine down. Recommended.

I bought this for my teenage son who is wanting to learn to play an electric guitar (basic knowledge of acoustic playing). He called me when it arrived and raved about the looks and feel of this instrument. He had been banging around with a cheap Strat copy I had and he knew immedialtely this was such a better instrument, quality was great. Great value here at Adorama and look forward to him playing it for years to come.

I realized this wouldn't be a new players series, so I was ok with getting one of the older standards from 2017 model year in 2019. Guitar arrived safely and boxed in another box which was nice. Feels and plays nice, the strings on it are really rusty I assume it was strung up back in 2016/17 and has sat in a warehouse for a while, and again I am fine with all that. The only negative and I won't be returning this, for the price it was a no brainer, is that I got no trem arm in the box, this was a sealed fender box so I can't exactly fault Adorama on that one, usually in the cardboard inserts you find a small allen wrench a sticker a trem arm that sorta thing, but nope not in mine. I will find a trem arm in my box of stuff here, after a small setup and string change this thing will SING :)

This seems like a great guitar but probably needs locking tuners. It should hold its value as all other Mexican strats are now around $650. This one was on sale. In the end I returned it because of a faulty tuner but I purchased another guitar from them in its place a charvel San dim-as that was also on sale ..

This guitar was a great step up from the Squier my son has been playing for the last couple years. His talent had outstripped the Squier and it has really been amazing to hear how much better he plays and sounds with this guitar. If you can't quite afford the MIA Strat, definitely go for this MIM Strat. You won't be sorry. I am a fairly casual guitar player, good enough to play many things and be able to hear the difference between good players and guitars. Enjoy!

The guitar was not set up when I received it. There was buzz on the 5th and 6th strings. I had to adjust the bridge etc and tune the guitar.

After owning several strats, the Fender Standard Strat is worth the money. I love the sunburst, and the quality is what you would expect from a made in Mexico strat.

I have owned several US (2012 American Standard, 2002 American Fat Strat Texas Special) and find that for me, this instrument is better. The neck is a bit more full from front to back, and I fits my hand better. The electronics are first-class (basically the same pots and switches as the US models) and the pickups work very well for the music I play. The example I received has a three-piece body and is quite resonant unplugged. There really isn't much in this price range that can compete.
