This footswitch also works for the Champion 50XL.

I can verify firsthand after ordering and receiving this switch from Adorama that it works perfectly for a 50XL. Fender's recommended switch for the 50XL is PN 0097298000 but this seems to have been discontinued. You can take your chances and try to get one used (they are somewhat hard to find) or you can get a brand new one of the type listed here at Adorama. The two switches are functionally equivalent. The footswitch adds a lot of versatility to your Fender amp. On the fly you can channel select between the pristine clean and the modelled amps. You can also turn the amp effects on or off. If you have a Champion amp you need this footswitch.

Two-Button Footswitch (Part#0080997000) Connect a 2-button footswitch to your Mustang amplifier (included with the Mustang III, optional equipment for the Mustang IV & V) to enable remote multi-function foot control.

Use the Utility menus to assign one of the following functions to the 2-button footswitch
• Select presets (up/down)
• Select Quick Access presets (QA1/QA2)
• Bypass effects (various combinations)
• Set TAP interval
