First things first: Adorama shipped fast and secure - No issues. I couldn't be more satisfied with this guitar. I own a couple of high end dreds but wanted a parlor - just because. This guitar exhibits a high quality build and is all solid woods. The fit, finish and setup is spot on. It sounds as expected acoustically but really surprised me when it plugged it in. Highly recommended

Solid guitar at a great price. Not sure I would buy it for full price but even that is a good price for an all solid wood guitar

Beautiful sound, great value...however, Fender has a serious design flaw with the battery for the preamp. Apparently, the springs are too strong and the batteries do not make good contact...or the door for the battery is too flimsy to keep the battery down.

Set up was great right out of the box. This guitar has a gutsy sound for a parlor, smooth easy playing. Pretty, too. Would recommend.

I purchased this guitar to take while traveling since it is slightly smaller than the dreadnought guitars that I have been playing. I have been extremely happy with the feel and sound of the guitar. It sounds great either unplugged on plugged into my studio monitor setup. The Fishman electronics have a great, clean sound. I have enjoyed the guitar so much that it has taken the place as my "go-to" guitar for all playing.

My other full-size US made Taylors sound better for sure. But this Fender does sound good too. The Smaller size and the short scale length make it easy to play. for 1/3 of Taylor's price, it's a great guiar.

I have to admit, I was skeptical of this guitar, primarily because it was "Crafted in China", and, let's be honest, Fender makes great entry level acoustics, but they're really a whole lot better at amplifiers and electric guitars/basses. However, due to the PM-2 Deluxe being available at a fantastic price, I gave it a shot. First thing you'll notice, this guitar is made of high quality, solid wood - none of the laminates you typically associate with cheaper guitars made in China. The design is pretty good ("Designed in the USA"), the custom Fishman pickup sounds great, and I believe the tuning machines are something like 15:1. Certainly, it seems that at least the materials are not intro level. The guitar sounds great unplugged and plugged in. Keep in mind, the PM-2 is a parlor guitar - it has its own, distinct voice, and it's not going to sound like a dreadnought. Also keep in mind, this is still a ($) guitar, not a $8000 Martin - it's not going to sound as good as a really expensive, hand made guitar...If that's the sound you want, you're better off looking elsewhere. The guitar also comes with a pretty nice hard case. I should mention the Fishman pickup is designed for this guitar's voice, and isn't just some generic pickup that was thrown into the guitar. On the minus side, I'd say that I'm not a huge fan of the high gloss finish. It makes the guitar kind of sticky and flattens the sound a bit. Overall, I'd say this guitar is worth a shot and certainly stands up well to other offerings in this price range.

At first love at first sight soon turned into a return. Wouldn't keep in tune. When pushed a bit, voice would fall quite flat. Thick lacquer job deadens sound. Probably would have improved slightly with a professional set up but I decided against that investment on this instrument.

good guitar. happy wih purchase
An expansion of the Paramount Series acoustic guitars, the PM-2 Parlor NE, All-Mahogany, Natural combines simple styling with an organic finish to create a highly responsive instrument. Carefully crafted for superior tone, high performance and earthy visual appeal, this premium instrument will satisfy all players searching for an inspiring guitar. The open-pore mahogany top is extremely lively, with a lush, warm voice and enhanced dynamic range that responds to every nuance of your playing, no matter how hard or fast you strum and pick. The scalloped X-braces are carefully placed for detailed note definition, working in harmony with the top for the perfect amount of ringing sustain.
The rich, all-solid mahogany back and sides work with the top for a well-balanced, earthy and organic tone. The fast-playing "C"-shaped mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard are carefully crafted to accommodate any playing style while offering comfortable performance anywhere on the neck. The durable rosewood bridge and compensated bone saddle add a rich note to the warm voice of the guitar and create accurate intonation, as well as being stylish aesthetic touches, just like the ebony bridge pins. The open-pore finish allows the guitar to resonate freely, making for an extremely lightweight instrument that breathes with dynamic tone. Includes deluxe hard-shell case and humidifier.
