Better than RRS and Gitzo
Best overall tripod I have found and build quality is on par with RRS and better than with 3-series Gitzo tripods. Actually holds its rated load with the legs fully extended and no flexing at all. Best part is that in seconds I can remove the flat plate and insert the center column kit and have a very strong and stable center column support that works even with a 13 lb lens and camera rig. Better than expected.
Incredibly light weight and fast to extend legs. With Gimbal head, it is taller than I need without extending the center column - which is what i had hoped. I am over 6 feet tall. With legs placed at narrowest spacing, I actually had to shorten the legs a bit to get camera on Gimbal head at eye level. Kind of wished I bought carbon fiber head since metal one is heaviest part of setup. But price was an issue and this tripod was priced nicely for quality gear.
