I use this primarily with my Nexus 6, connected through OTG cable/usb and it does its job nicely! The best feature of this portable dac/amp however is the SPDIF port (which the newer e17k does NOT have. Absolutely love using this at home, connected via optical and paired with my AKG k7xx. Incredible sound improvement over the regular pc headphone jack.

I use this on my laptop with an eskuche headphone, and the music cleaner and crisper. The adjustments are good, but basic (treble, bass, balance, and gain) the other settings for the selecting the inputs, (usb, coaxial, spdif, and aux). Would have liked to see a equalizer with frequencies adjustments.

Using it everyday at the gym. No problems at all. I have tested several amplifiers and this one is great.

I purchased the FIIO E17 to replace my current desktop gig which is a dedicated audio AMP driving the headphones. The much petite FIIO didn't sacrifice any performance in terms of sound quality and driving ability, the built-in DAC actualy improves the sound purity by quite a lot. It has no problem driving my Sennheiser HD 580 with a 300 Ohm load, and it works just fine with my low impedance SONY XBA-3 as well. The build quality and the full array of accessories does not disappoint either. It is a bargin with the discounted price I paid and I am totally satisfied with the product.

A great-sounding device. I used it both, as a amp for grado 325 and as a DAC for my airport express, feeding a hifi system. The former used USB, the latter -- a SPIF optical cable (not included). Both worked great. It's good to a have a little display on the device. I am not a fan of up/down button volume control, but it works OK
