I'm surprised with this film. I wasn't happy with Fuji Superia 400 because the reddish look I was getting. I never took in consideration Fuji Superia 800 because I thought it was going to be the same and worst, well.. I was wrong. Fuji Superia 800 seems to be a totally different film than the 400. I'm getting much more warm colors and the grain is totally under control. This is a fantastic film for available low light conditions. I also found it to be fantastic for people.

Pretty good film to leave in your camera, if you can tolerate grain. You'll have enough speed for indoor available light, while also having enough speed for nature (read slow, long lenses) photographs.

This film was used ona recent trip to Ensenada, Baja, Mexico for a wedding. Not wanting to use my better camers, I took a Canon Z135 which has a zoom from 35 to 135mm. The wedding was at 7:00 PM in fast fading light.I was fairly close to the ceremony so on camer flash was sufficient for great shots. After the ceremony, pictures of B & G and entire wedding party came out great. by now it was 8:45 Pm and dark. Following was a sit down dinner for apprx. 300 people. Numerous pictures were taken arouind the tables w/ excellent results. Next two days were spent at a Pacific Beach side resort withp[lenty of light and a Western Exposure. Since this camera has a 1/1000 shutter speed, it handled the lighting well. In all, given the location and circumstances, I doubt I could have chosen a more approprite film, all things considered.
