Neopan 400 is such a wonderful film to work with. Works well in most any developer and produces smooth tonal transitions and has great tonal range.

Great stuff! I love the easy load spools. The film itself is nice and razor sharp, similar to tri-x's sharpness. The negatives have a super clear base making the developed image quite contrasty initially. I made some prints with it, its easy to deal with, it makes pictures! hey!

I'm a student so a good price is key. Better yet, this product is relatively cheap AND consistent, and I get awesome results, so what more could I ask for?

Started out using Ilford films with great results, but that got expensive given how much film I use. Gave NEOPAN 400 a try and got similar, consistant results. Haven't been as lucky with 100, but the 400 has been great. Just to be clear regarding the 100, processing B&W is new to me so a more experienced person may have much better results.

I think this film is an amazing product. Batch to batch consistency is second to none. I have used a lot of Tri-X (400) and it's a toss-up between Neopan 400 and it. I develop it in Pyrocat-MC and Xtol developers, and I get results that I am very happy with. Great tonal range, beautiful highlights and very well separated midtones. It prints like a dream. I would describe the film like Tri-X but with slightly finer grain, and it's at the time being a dollar less expensive per roll. Tri-X appears a bit sharper to my eye, with Neopan displaying a slightly better, more defined grayscale. Both are fantastic films. I've introduced this film to a few people and they have been very pleasantly surprised.

I used this film for street photography for years but have now switched to tri-x. I feel tx scans better and is slightly more forgiving in harsh light

Great results with Diafine for architecture. Love processing with Rodinal for BLACK and WHITE. Sharp and great grainquality.
