LOYD O : Also, what is the exp. date of this 35mm 50 iso 5 pack ?
RICK T : When was this film made (Velvia 50) ?SHANE N : has been out quite a while. not sure how current what they ship out is. works like no other. but, i am out at the moment, and cant check date codes. i highly recommend it, and will be ordering more soon. hope this helps in a digital age, which i use also, of photography. happy shooting.MICHAEL K : I have no idea what the manufacture date on this roll film was, but the "process before" date for the rolls purchased in April 2011 was March 2012.
JOHN M : Was wondering if any that bought this film had any problem with it being overheated from Adorama? ie of color?Nicholas H : Overheated? As in improperly stored? I didn't have any issues with color shift; in fact, the Velvia I bought from Adorama is one of the few films I didn't have to adjust after scanning. I've found that it scans very well.DON F : My RVP 50 is still in the freezer. Have not yet tested it. Sorry I couldn't help. DonVASILY S : Hi John, I've never had any problems with the Velvia. I am not sure about overheating, but I was using it in a desert at 100+ degrees without any noticeable affect on the quality.DAVID J : I purchased a 5-pack from Adorama and didn't have any problems at all. The colors were consistent throughout. I love this film; one of my favorites!RICHARD S : I live in Arizona I have not had any problems with this product of any other product purchased from Adorama.JOHN R : I have not had problems with the film. I buy my film well in advance of actual need and store it in my 55 degree wine celler. I have used most of my ASA 50 on two week trips. I use more of the ASA 100 film. In total I used 92 rolls of Fuji 50,100 and 400 on a June Mediterranean trip. All were fine. Regards,HAO Z : I did not have any problem with this film I purchased on April 5 2010. BRAD R : I haven't noticed anything like that. MICHAEL K : No problem whatsoever.ROBERT C : Never had any issue with Fuji Velvia from Adorama..MATTHEW F : No, no issues at all. Sean K : Velvia 50 is traditionally a very warm film. Reds are prevalent; almost to the point of a color shift when using it for portraits. I chose RVP 50 for landscape and travel work. If you're looking for a more neutral film try Velvia 100F or Provia. I've always been happy with the quality from Adorama, including this film. Sean

High-End film for discriminating photographers!

I began using Velvia 120 roll film in 2009 after visiting an art gallery in Hawaii and realized I had visited many of the places photographed but hadn't bothered to take a quality instrument with me! Velvia renders photographs in a way many other films simply cannot. It makes the red and blues more noticeable and saturated. Luckily for us, Fuji has agreed to continue making this incredible film as I intend to continue using it until they shut down production!

THEE BEST!

It's by far my favorite film stock out. I've used Velvia, E100, Astia, E100VS to name a few and every time I use Provia 100, I get the colors I'm looking for. Almost spot on when it comes to landscape photography. Super fine grain and very versatile. If you want a slide film that gives great color and room to wiggle with exposure then this is it. Give it a try!

Great film stock if you know what you're doing.

Most of what comes out of your camera depends on the lens, but this film offers very fine grain and strong, saturated colors. The dynamic range is not great, so you have to be very accurate with your exposure, but if you expose this film properly it can result in beautiful photos.

Love those colors

I use this for pinhole photography. The colors are amazing and the reciprocity and ISO lead to better beach and bright conditions exposure times.

Always the best.

Fuji Velvia is, as always, the best for landscape work. I consistently get the most beautiful positives and end results from this film. No film photographer should avoid shooting with this awesome film!

fujichrome

At last, good things come to an end. I have been shooting a 6x7 pentax for 20 or more years using fujichrome 120 asa 50. To replicate this camera and the lens using this film you would have to invest 10's of thousands of dollars to do it digitally. I have some images up on ozarkphoto.com and I am publishing a book shortly all done with the above. I feel like I am losing a very close friend.

I just fairly recently made my foray into 35 mm after having learned digital a few years ago. This film is an amazing and fun challenge to use.

Nothing on the market today beats Velvia

Velvia Slide film is not for everyone. I've recently taken steps to understand its relatively reduced tonal range and the ideal times of day to use it. I'm taking the time to understand how to to calculate exposure. And the rewards are significant. I love how it looks when its shot well.

Always loved

I have loved Fujichrome Velvia 50 since it came out way back in 1990. The ISO is a bit slow but the fine grain and rich colors make up for it. I am a railroad buff and have photographed many trains over the past 30 years with many different films and every time, I would come come back to Velvia. At 50 ISO, Velvia requires a somewhat shallow depth of field in order to achieve a 1/500 of a second shutter speed or higher but on sunny days, that is easily achievable. If you wish to shoot film, I highly recommend Velvia 50. If the ISO is considered too slow to your liking then I highly recommend "bumping up" to Fujichrome's Velvia 100. Nearly identical to the 50 but with the added incentive of being "faster".
