Outstanding!

Colors are second to none, except maybe for Velvia 50. 6 x 6 slides are a rare treat. My only complaint is how Fuji has jacked up the price on this wonderful film now that it pretty much has a monopoly on E-6 slide film. We will see if this continues, since Kodak is releasing the new Ektachrome as I am writing this. This is a great product nonetheless.

I was so happy to find some 4x5 color slide film. i wish you would consider making the Quick Loads again. going back to film holders adds so much weight to my pack. But, happy to have some slide film

Velvia

I enjoy using both Velvia 100 and 50. Colors are slight different between the two. I prefer film over Digital.

Nice Reversal Film

This is a nice fine grain reversal film; vaguely similar to E100VS. I prefer the latter for landscape (what I do) but it hasn't been available for several years.

Best color film IMHO!

Until digital, I used this 90% of the time though I did occasionally use the 50 Velvia. Since I still have a Mamiya 6 outfit, I have a large stock of Velvia 110 and 220 film in my freezer to this day. Great film.

slides

I have not used any of the new film yet, but have used it previously and it is very good. I have approximately 4000 slides dating back to the mid 50's.

Good film that's fun to use

The results on a light table aren't quite as pretty as RVP 50, but they're still excellent and the film is much easier to use. The film's faster speed and superior reciprocity characteristics makes it very convenient to shoot with. If you primarily shoot during dusk when light is low, you can get off more shots since you aren't waiting around as long with time exposures. In my limited experience with scanning this film, I find that its colors typically look better scanned than RVP 50. This film is altogether different from Velvia 50, and it's superior for certain applications. Simply put, Velvia 100 is a great film in its own right.

Nice film under the right conditions.

While not as nice as Velvia 50, (no longer available) Velvia 100 does a nice job under the right lighting conditions. Nice even lighting is best for this saturated film.

Great film

Well I think most film photographers know Velvia. Velvia 100 may not have as much uber-saturated color punch, but it's darn close and a wonderful film.

Velvia RVP 100

This works pretty good. It seemed a little bit on the blue and maybe majenta side. That could be the way the gentleman is developing them though.

Amazing film!

This is the best film I have ever come across. It has no equal for taking landscapes or buildings in cities. It takes amazing macro shots, as well. I do not miss Kodachrome at all with this around. However, it is not good for skintones. It saturates them too much, and doesn't look natural. Other than that, however, I can not find anything better in the world!

Velvia 100 employs new technologies to deliver finer grain and twice the speed while offering the color saturation and palette that have made Velvia 50 the film of choice for leading landscape and nature photographers.

The new generation Velvia 100 not only will appeal to photographers demanding the color saturation standard that Velvia 50 created, but will also provide state of the art technology that fits in perfectly with the complete Fujichrome Professional line.

Fujichrome Velvia 100 has several characteristic features that set it apart from the marketplace:

• ISO 100 speed - At ISO 100, Fujichrome Velvia 100 provides a more useful speed for greater flexibility in varied shooting situations.

• Ultra-high-saturated color reproduction - Color saturation is an important feature of Fujichrome 50. Recognizing this, and by incorporating advanced cyan, magenta, and yellow couplers as well as CEL (Color-Extension Layer) technology, new Fujichrome Velvia 100 gives photographers the saturation they require with the added advantages of higher speed and finer grain.

• Super-fine grain - Fujichrome Velvia 100 boasts an RMS* granularity of 8**, a significant improvement over Velvia 50 and ranking it alongside other Fujifilm professional film products, such as Fujichrome Astia 100F, Fujichrome Provia 100F and Fujichrome Velvia 100F.

• Improved color stability - The new color couplers employed in Fujichrome Velvia 100 significantly im prov e color stability and freedom from fading/shift over conventional films.

• Improved versatility - Fujichrome Velvia 100 can accept push/pull processing from - 1/2 stop to + 1 stop with minimal changes to color balance and gradation.Push can even be extended to up to 2 stops, depending on the subject, allowing easy and precise correction of exposure and density.
