Fuji never ever lets me down, whether it's 50 or 100 speed the velvia is great color and sharpness for my landscapes. I shoot digital as well but for a once in a lifetime shot i'll use my slide film.

Hard to get manufacturers to make slide film anymore, however Fuji comes to the rescue. Not everyone likes digital.

I have used different transparency film in the past, but for color saturation in landscape photography I think this is the best there is

I take stereo slides of sports cars and Velvia 100 delivers the best colors and lowest grain of all films I've tried. Very consistent.

This is the first reversal film that I have used. It has great color and excellent contrast! I will be trying Velvia 50 next, now that I am more confident with slow films.

I was really pleased with Velvia 100. It seems like Fuji retained nearly all of the pros of Velvia 50, but I really appreciate the extra stop of speed the ISO 100 version gives. This film is excellent for shooting things; Velvia is not a film for shooting people. Color saturation and contrast are both very good, though I think the original Velvia (ISO 50) is slightly better in that regard.

A fairly decent film with nice whites. Does not scan very well and grain is a bit high for an ISO 100 film.

Excellent for underwater. Really like the color for plants/flowers and wildlife.

A fine grain, pro film. Just not quite the saturation of the beloved 50.

Although Velvia 100 renders high color saturation, fine detail, and sharp details, it does not have the contrast to belong to the Velvia family. If one was thinking of using Velvia 50 or 100, I would recommend Velvia 50 over this film unless if speed was extremely important. However, the lack of contrast does not hinder this from being a great film!

I was impressed by the colour rendition and consistency after my pictures in Tanzania - Africa. Well saturated and balanced on cloudy days, magically warm at dawn and sunset, catching the Savana atmosphere[...]

the film shifts all things red, even in bright sunlight. this was particularly evidentwhen cross-processed in C41.

I'VE FOUND THIS FILM TO BE A GOOD COMPROMISE FOR LANDSCAPES, NATURE CLOSE-UPS SUCH AS FLOWERS AND ANIMALS

Very saturated and bright vivid colors. I would use this for landscapes, sunsets, sunrises, flowers and other forms of nature. I would not use this for people/portraits because saturated skin tones make people look ugly.

Perhaps not quite as saturated as the original Velvia (RVP), but the fine grain and extra speed are so welcome it's now the only film I carry for wildlife and nature. It not only performs well at 100 ISO (or at 125, where I usually rate it), but when pushed to 250 or even 400.

This films behaved really well in Savana

Velvia 100 employs new technologies to deliver finer grain and twice the speed while offering the color saturation and palette that have made Velvia 50 the film of choice for leading landscape and nature photographers.
The new generation Velvia 100 not only will appeal to photographers demanding the color saturation standard that Velvia 50 created, but will also provide state of the art technology that fits in perfectly with the complete Fujichrome Professional line.
Fujichrome Velvia 100 has several characteristic features that set it apart from the marketplace:
ISO 100 speed - At ISO 100, Fujichrome Velvia 100 provides a more useful speed for greater flexibility in varied shooting situations.
Ultra-high-saturated color reproduction - Color saturation is an important feature of Fujichrome 50. Recognizing this, and by incorporating advanced cyan, magenta, and yellow couplers as well as CEL (Color-Extension Layer) technology, new Fujichrome Velvia 100 gives photographers the saturation they require with the added advantages of higher speed and finer grain.
Super-fine grain - Fujichrome Velvia 100 boasts an RMS* granularity of 8**, a significant improvement over Velvia 50 and ranking it alongside other Fujifilm professional film products, such as Fujichrome Astia 100F, Fujichrome Provia 100F and Fujichrome Velvia 100F.
Improved color stability - The new color couplers employed in Fujichrome Velvia 100 significantly im prov e color stability and freedom from fading/shift over conventional films.
Improved versatility - Fujichrome Velvia 100 can accept push/pull processing from - 1/2 stop to + 1 stop with minimal changes to color balance and gradation.Push can even be extended to up to 2 stops, depending on the subject, allowing easy and precise correction of exposure and density.
