This is an excellent ball head and very comparable to those by RRS. It is easy to use and adjust all the knobs. Seems to be very well built. Also, it fits perfectly on the CP30S tripod by FLM.

Sturdy, precise, smooth. A little tricky to set up initially (This could be user error though). (TL/DR) As I said above, this could be user error, but the process seemed straightforward until I attempted it, then it became very tedious trying to coordinate both the main and friction adjustments to get the one I wanted (friction ring) where I wanted it. The main knob has a collar/ring to set the minimum friction, and there are instructions for doing that, but I found that it took some finagling to get the rings to coincide with what I wanted; specifically, loosening the friction ring would sometimes stop against some internal stop-point and I would have to tighten the friction ring, loosen the friction and main knobs simultaneously, then loosen the friction ring again until I was able to get it to where I wanted it. After a lot of trial & error I was able to do that and now it works flawlessly.
