Tony C : For the flir OTM-366 thermal monocular in the spec sheet it says they have a detector size of 320×256. It says it has the 640×512 in other places. Which is the correct answer?

Decent unit but problems with power management

Arrived with two dead lithium (non-rechargeable) batteries. The two replacement batteries I installed went from 100% charge to 0% charge overnight while the unit was turned off. FLIR said they'd provide an RMR to repair. Disappointing to have this occur on first use. Positive input is that the image quality is good and FLIR customer service responded quickly. I was advised that I could use common rechargeable CR123 batteries.

Good for the price.

Always wanted a thermal scope and this flir unit is the very best for the price. Can see an owl in a tree 150 yards away. Didn?t need one for a rifle so this hand held unit filled my needs. Cannot gonwrong buying this unit. The 9 fps is fine.

Great thermal camera

Works great but does eat batteries. You can attach a USB power source but must use USB-A to USB-C cable. Using USB-C to USB-C won't power the unit. Image is pretty good, found a water leak in the house within in minutes of playing with it. Does well at night looking for critters. Very happy with purchase!

Can?t go wrong with FLIR. I use this monocular almost weekly for hog hunting. I recommend getting the rechargeable battery pack which I think should come standard. I scan my backyard all the time now and see cats and rabbits I never saw before.

Great for scanning

Great scanner. Compact and lasts for hours through a night hunt. Only thing I would change is the buttons, not that intuitive to use at night. Can't feel which button I'm on. Also a feature to quickly switch between filters would be good.
