My images where sharp as a tack until I put this filter on. Finally, yesterday I did a side by side comparison of 7 images of different subjects, at different distances and focal lengths. HUGE difference. The filtered images were not nearly as sharp and had considerable more noise at the same camera settings. I am returning it. You get what you pay for.

I bought this inexpensive filter to add a layer of protection for the front element of my Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens. I did not expect it to exhibit the optical qualities of filters produced by pro-level filter manufacturers. It protects my lens while being transported in it's case or hanging from my camera strap, but I remove it while actually shooting. I've compared images taken with and without the filter in place and there is a definite image degradation with the filter in place. If you are looking for protection for the front of your expensive glass this is a good choice. If you are looking for superb image sharpness than be prepared to pay over $ for a professional quality filter from one of the big name filter manufacturers.

I bought this for my Tamron 150-600 when I purchased the lens. I was never quite satisfied with my shots being as sharp as others with same or similar equipment. I ultimately sold the Tamron lens and purchased a Nikon 200-500 but kept the filter. It was better but still not as sharp as photos taken by a friend with the exact same body & lens. I finally suspected the filter & took a series of test shots in good light of very crisp, high contrast subjects. I took 2 shots with the filter & 2 shots without, then went to the next subject and did the same for about 8-10 subjects. when reviewed on the lcd the ones with the filter looked softer, when I put them in LR and zoomed it was conclusive. Without exception, every shot with the filter was soft, every image with the filter removed was sharp. I did this again a few days later with the same results. I feel stupid that it took me so long to realize this & how many of my photos could have been better. Lesson learned the hard way. don't buy a cheap filter. I have filters on all my lenses, better brands & quality and have never had a sharpness issue, only with this filter.

Is a very clear piece of round glass that protects the lens on my Nikon 200-500mm at about half the cost of some others that do the same thing. The 95mm fits perfectly and screws on nice and smooth. What's not to like?

The price was right. These large filters are pretty expensive. I had to send the first one back because the glass was loose. Also this is advertised as an Adorama filter but it's really made by Bauer.

Seems fine for the price. Wanted it to protect my lens. Haven't noted any adverse effects on photographs. Have it mounted on my Tameron 150-600 lens.

I found this item that was going to have taken a week or more to find and order from a Photo store. I found it, ordered it and had it within 5 days. Good Job!

This 95mm UV filter is specifically designed for the Bower 500mm 6.3 Lens. The filter absorbs Ultra Violet (UV) light.
Film is more sensitive to Ultra Violet light than our eyes. This often shows up as a haze or a bluish cast, especially when shot from high altitudes and from long distances, particularly over water.
UV filters also help protect your lens from dust, moisture, fingerprints, scratches and damage from cleaning.
Since they absorb no normal light and have no effect on color or contrast, they can be kept on your lens at all times.
