Does exactly what you want it to do. It's about twice as big as the battery pack. Be warned as you will need to make space in your gear bag for this guy.

This is an amazing product to compliment the XPLOR 400. It provides continuous power, so you don't have to worry about the battery dying during the shoot. It also allows you to use the modeling light without worry.

I would definitely recommend this product. I bought two of them to carry along for a volume photography shoot I recently had. So glad I brought them as the batteries on both of my AD400s started running down half way through the job. Fortunately, we were able to quickly swap out the batteries for these AC adapter units and continue without missing a beat.

Important backup option and maybe reduces battery cycles. Allows all day use of modeling lamp in a studio situation. Works OK but seems overpriced.

This thing works great. It snaps on easily just like the battery does and the cord is long enough that I don't even have to pull out an extension. I was a little worried that it might be annoying with fan noise, but so far it hasn't even turned on! (Granted, I haven't work the flash hard with it.)

Expand the functionality and benefit of an already awesome product. The point of a wireless product is the freedom to roam. Still, given the power and color stability of this wireless monolight, it would be a shame not to utilize this product in a studio environment. The AC adapter extends this function. The unit is a little beefier than the battery attachment, but it easily fastens into the batteries port with one click.

It works as it should. The most important reason to use it is if you want to constantly keep the modeling light on. The modeling light can really drain your battery quickly and this avoids it.

This adapter works seamlessly with the XPLOR 400 Pro R2 monolight. I am using the adapter with 400PRO head on a boom stand, so I do not have to deal with swapping the battery ever. For casual use the fan is inaudible. I am giving it 4 stars because it seems a bit overpriced for what is doing.

This a/c adapter works as intended for my XPLOR 400. I like that it has its own fan, it has a red LED to indicate it's on, and it comes with a long and sturdy power cord. The packaging however looked like it's been sitting in a dusty warehouse for a while and the silica gel beads were all over the place inside the box including the a/c adapter itself so I had the shake it off to get rid of them.

These worked great as an option to shoot all day and not worry about losing power or having to change batteries. But seriously, they’re overpriced for basically having the ability to plug in a light. Works great. But should have been about half the price.
