The treble can be bright and somewhat forward. The biggest issue is bass. These are not full range speakers. You have a bump in the 55 Hz range then it drops off rapidly. The drivers try to handle low frequencies, but in so doing they muddle lower midrange. Stuffing the front facing port helps, but is not a solution. These speakers really need a subwoofer to handle everything below 80 Hz before they can shine. I do not believe they merit their $4K pricepoint in light of what other manufacturers are able to produce in this price range. They are among the best looking speakers I have owned and can integrate in various room decors more easily than others, which may make them attractive. If you play Miles Davis or Keith Jarrett they are a prime pick. If you want to get the best out of "Rite of Spring" or "Scheherazade" there are better choices in speakers.

No audiophile here but I do know good sound. Im over 50 and have had many speakers over the years. Just buy these, these kill everything I've owned, probably not fair comparisons but just drop the cash the first time! JBL Studio 590 (Kill you loud but harsh in smaller room, killer for HT only, not so much for music. Polk LSIM 705 (good sound but not nearly as detailed or as articulate and lacked punch) Martin Logan Motion 60xti (very good, but much more laid back) detail is so crazy on the 926, soundstage is huge yet centered? and yes they will get plenty loud for a smaller yet near 90lb tower! Ive pulled out the whole collection and after setting them up I have listen to them for the last 5 hours straight and will till I fall asleep to all the sweet sounds these produce, these make me want to listen to music again! Detailed but never bright or the slightest bit of harshness, low volume, loud, it's all good! You can hear and feel the fingers hit the strings and the sticks hit the drum edge, seriously, buy them, buy them now! Adorama rocks!

The Aria 926 embodies the home 3-way floor standing loudspeaker. This musical and expressive loudspeaker is easy to install. All kinds of music lovers will be thrilled with its acoustic qualities. The Aria 926 is by definition an affordable audiophile loudspeaker.
The intention was a return to the very essence of acoustics for those who are passionate about music. Flax cone are characterized by their natural sound, with low coloration, their richness of reproduction in the midrange register and their tighter bass. The result is a more homogeneous sound, improved dynamics. Aria offers a classic and modern design. It is ideal for rooms measuring from 215ft2 (20m2) and from a recommended listening distance of 10ft (3m).
For the TNF tweeter, we have brought two major evolutions to our aluminum/magnesium tweeter. The suspension between the dome and its bracket uses Poron, a material with shape memory. This suspension method is directly derived from the famous Utopia Beryllium tweeter, making it possible to reduce distortion by a factor of three in the 2-3kHz range, where the human ear has very great sensitivity.
The inverted dome's spatial characteristics and very low directivity already make it greatly superior to the conventional domes used by our competitors. This guarantees an incredibly stable sound stage which makes the listening position much less critical.
The flax cone are made in France exclusively by Focal since 2013. With their original design, the cone are entirely oriented towards acoustic performance. They are made of high quality flax fiber enclosed by two thin layers of glass fiber. F cone are characterized by their natural sound, with low coloration, their richness of reproduction in the midrange register and their tighter bass.
The lightness of the fiber satisfies the criteria of high internal damping, high velocity and high flexural rigidity. Flax is twice as light as fiberglass, because the fiber is hollow. It also has very low elasticity which makes it ideal to increase the flexural rigidity of a sandwich structure.
