Tom S : Can you describe the motion sensor feature? Looks like it takes a picture and uploads to a website. Does it only take one picture, or one every couple seconds as long as motion is detected? This is an important feature for me as I don't care as much about real time monitoring as seeing when there is activity in the area.KEVIN O : it will take 6 pictures and upload them to a email that you have set up. if will wait a few seconds and send more pictures as long as motion is detected.BRUCE P : Tom, I did add some free software to help the functionality; there are several options for that. Once installed, the software indeed sensed when there was activity within the field of vision of the camera and took snapshots, saving them to the local PC (not uploading to a website).ADALBERTO T : It will either send you an e-mail with 6 consecutive pictures taken after the movement was detected or you can setup a network storage where you can store a short movie.

Thanks,RICK W : We use our cameras with our intranet which is secure to outtside soutside sources It is set for dhcp and that is the best way to go. JAMES B : Yes, the camera comes with the web server so you don't need to host a site. Camera is good - Support is weak

Bought this camera to experiment a bit with home surveillance. The setup is easy and the camera seems to have good quality. So far the only problem is related to the bolt that holds the camera to the bracket. It is made of weak metal. The first time I tried to adjust the camera after installing it, that bolt broke right in the middle. I did not even bother calling the manufacturer. I just went to a hardware store and replaced it with a regular steel bolt. By the way, it has to be installed at a certain distance since it is not a wide-angle camera.
