I have not had a lot of time to try this light modifier out, but in trying it out with my mannequin it appears to give out a very nice light. It isn't as soft as a soft box or large umbrella, but is a medium soft. This gives you more drama in your photos. It is well made and fits the lights perfectly.

I like the oonstruction and build of the beauty dish I think that the vendor should have advised that an adapter is needed. The product description says for all Flashpoint strobes and that's misleading. It's not for the basic Flashpoint strobe. It wasn't until I got the item and went back to read the spec page to see its for Flashpoint II and DG series strobes. Still waiting on a back order adapter.

I use this for portraits up to five people. Gives out balanced skin tone and no harsh lighting.

Works perfectly with my Flashpoint monolights. The construction and finish are better than expected, a good value for the cost. Comes with a nylon diffusion sock.

This is great for fashion photography. The light fall off is great and I love the catch lights. I live that it comes with a sock and the sick fits quite nicely. Excellent build quality - I have no idea why BDs for other mfgrs cost five times what this one costs. Excellent bang for the buck. Only negative is the size and lack of a carry case for it. By come on - a 21" BD is 21" - kind of hard to do something with the size. I am really pleased with this purchase.

This is my first dish, so I can not compare it to others. I am teaching myself studio lighting until I master it - and then I will learn some more - because I've always mostly shot on location. I really do like this dish, though. The quality of the light is soft and even, with just a hint of moonglow to it if not diffused. I have not tried it with a grid. My previous experience was mostly with softboxes, so this is a great addition to my list of modifiers. I thought it was a little pricey, but after receiving it and seeing it's sturdy construction - and its effects - I'm happy with what I paid.

I needed a quick purchase for a studio session and my budget was low. the output is great and the color was spot on. I haven't done much studio work so I bought this on suggestion. NICE!!! does as advertised. the drawback for me was the small metal rod that mounts the center reflector had a striped nut that made it impossible to center it precisely (it didn't show in any of the photos as a weird orb or anything like that) and that diddled my confidence in it, but it shot just fine. my dish was also warped out of the box, so i simply placed it on the level dining room floor and applied slight pressure to straighten the dish out (not my business to do but i was in a pinch). the shoot went fine tho, so i guess it was worth the price considering the other pro products out there.

Works great with the flashpoint series lights! For my purposes this light is fantastic and works well for head-shots and portrait shots. It is very basic in design and that is honestly all I need at the moment..no need to spend 10x the amount of this unit for my needs. Comes with the diffusion sock and you can also buy the optional grid. I purchased a hensel beauty dish travel bag to help keep the wear and tear down.

I was going to get a soft box for my mono flash but went with this Beauty Dish instead, and Im glade I did, Im getting ture color balance, and softer white tones, Im using this for shooting Glamour and it works great

This beauty dish is very nice. Comes with the diffusion sock and the deflector is adjustable. The white inside gives off a nice quality light but with the diffuser is much softer. Fits the Flashpoint II 620a perfectly. I will be ordering the grid this week. Hard to beat this product for the price. A great addition to my studio.
