I had a heck of a time when I first ordered this power pack. The shipping was lighting fast, as always but it was delivered w/o a battery. Called customer service and they informed me that a batch that the recieved was missing the batteries. Adorama could not do anything for me at the time because they none was in the warehouse. A few days later, a battery shipped and had it the next day. So glad I waited. Now I can use my Flashpoint 630M on location! Great Product!

It is an useful item, easy to manage and carry. When I received it, I charged and do my first sesion with it and last at least 300 shoots and never got down. I'm new with it, but I'm happy to get it.

I used it to power my 620 monolight when I shoot outdoors. Fast recycle and power will last long enough to fire at least 100 flashes at full power. I've only used it only once with about 100 shots and I still have plenty of power left.

I am thrilled with this power pack. No cords and as a plus it adds a bit of weight and stability to my stand. Out of the box I charged it for 4hrs 15min. before the light turned green. I have shot 250plus shots at one fourth to three fourths power and still going. No modeling light but I'm over that. Not very important to me. I can have more versatility using my beauty dish and go around tables taking pics instead of using on camera flash. Very practical. Will definitely put on my budget to get a second one. I have used it with a 150 ws flashpoint moonlight. Great product. Excellent price!

Bought a kit with two 9.5' lighstands, two Flashpoint II 620M monolights, a Flashpoint II DC battery power pack, a snoot, two umbrellas, a softbox, a lighting outfit case, and a lighting guide. Very happy. Came with all the cables. Everything is compatible. Easy to operate, and lots of fun! Don't hesitate. For the price, these tools are fabulous. You can't go wrong. Shot my first portrait within 6 hours of receipt!

For on location shooting, this is an amazing addition for the lights, however a very steep downfall is the limited ability you have to shoot with the battery. On full power you only get about 100 shots. I had to purchase a 2nd battery for all the units I have which is costly and that still has me limited if there is no power supply available. So the only down fall is the limited amount of flashes you can get per battery pack. The one other down fall is there is know way of being able to tell how much power you have left in the unit. You can not tell if your at half power or when you are reaching close to your changing point. The carries which come with the packs are very portable and makes carrying them very nice with added flexibility.

I've used this battery pack together with my Flashpoint DG-600 300 w/s monolight. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase - it lasted throughout most of the concert with power setting set to about 1/4 of full power. Recharge times were good (~1 second or less between each shot). I also like the fact that battery itself is easily removed and has its own connector to charge up independently from the pack (while one is recharging - another goes in). Power connector is secure enough to stay in place. Cons is that there is no indicator on how much juice is left on the battery. The on/off flip can be easily switched by an accident (I actually did switch it to "on" position by accident when I was putting it into the trunk). Bag that it comes with is nice, but needs improvement. Battery pack very easy slips out of the bag - that can be dangerous during handling. It would be nice to be able to put extra cable length inside the bag (i.e. when I'm hanging the pack off the light stand and don't need the slack to be dangling around). Right now the space between the top cover and the one that zips up is not enough.

I bought this to go with the Flashpoint II 620M and it works great. Location shoots, family, wedding, senior shots, it's pretty handy to have around. It and the light are a great buy for the price. There are better lights and DC systems out there and they all cost several time more. I won't cry so much should this outfit get caught in the rain or fall off the truck.

I bought this power pack for my Flashpoint 620M monolight. It works just as described. I wish the modeling light would work with it like it does with AC power, but it is a decent trade off for the price.

I was happy to incorporate this product into my arsenal. Now I can shoot anywhere I choose WITH a strobe. It's pretty nice. I got this battery to help me shoot large groups at weddings with no AC plugs needed. I also use it for outdoor portraits sometimes of individuals...and families. I can just pop up my light on a stand.....turn on the pack and fire away. When light power and speed is needed (a must at weddings), this pack is a champ. I just shot a wedding group of 30 people outdoors using this pack and 1 Flashpoint 320. Recycle time is fast enough and I have never drained the pack at an event yet!

I like the battery pack, I just wish the bag that it came in had a pocket to store stuff in!

This battery park opened up a whole new world for my in portrait work. I would much rather shoot outside now instead of a home studio. The battery pack gives me the ability to shoot ANYWHERE. it actually helps with the stability of my light stand in weighing it down. The battery park is not that heavy and came with a real nice case to carry it in. I could not be happier with this pack.

This is a handy power pack for Flashpoint model II monolights. It charges quickly, has a replaceable battery cell and a nice canvas bag with a strap to hold it. It allows for quick recycle times and you can work with your monolight anywhere. In short, it does the job of providing power to a monolight to be used remotely where there is no power available. One thing that annoys me however is the fact that the modeling lights do not work when in DC power. I understand that this would drain the power quickly but that should be my choice. The FLashpoint monolights have a switch to turn off the modeling light. I would just like to be able to turn it on for a few seconds to check things if needed. Another quirk is the proprietary cord. I'm sure there is a design reason but I don't quite understand why they can't be designed to just utilize the regular plug like the vagabond.Still, for [$] you can't go wrong with this. It has been useful and has paid for itself many times over.

With my Flashpoint 320II M strobe, I feel I can shoot without worrying about an extension cord. Very convenient! I have had no trouble with it during the couple of weeks I owned it.

This battery unit is superb with the matching Flashpoint monolight! It is VERY lightweight and packs a punch to boot! I have used this battery on a shoot that lasted 3-4 hours and probably took 200-250 shots with this battery and it never showed any sign of wearing down! (your mileage may differ dependent on light settings/output) But I'm very happy with this setup as it relives me of carrying around an 18 lb battery (Yikes)! Cons: There is no easy way to secure the battery to the light stand..which is nice to have since otherwise it is on the ground which is not always ideal when shooting outdoors!

I really like this battery pack. It is light weight and great for outdoor shooting. I would say that the only draw back is the recycle time. If you are photographing a subject that requires you to be quick on the draw this pack is not for you.

Great battery pack for M series monolights. Hard to beat it. Gets over 200 shots. I wish it had some sort of digital battery gauge but that is probable asking too much at this price.

It says it will recharge your Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second 200 times, but for me is even more. Maybe 240 times at full power. Good idea to buy an additional battery.

Had so many problems with this. I got it as a gift. I unpacked it and it was wonderful, exactly what I wanted until I discovered that the cable that is supposed to go from the M Monolights to the battery pack was missing. [...]

I have been hesitant to try these portable battery powered monolight units. I saw the Adorama video with Mark Wallace. It was a quick overview on the 650M system. I purchased the 320M with battery pack because it appeared easy to use. I purchase this setup for remote and location shoots. I have several coming up and look forward to getting value out of these recommended lights and battery. So far out of the box everything seems to be working. Not happy that the modeling light does not work on AC battery power. Also I am not sure how many shots I can take with this 150WS unit. I am assuming its twice as much as the 620M. Again, easy to setup, all the parts were there[...] I will add comments next week when I use them for a remote corporate staff portrait session. Adorama seems to have a lot of options when it comes to pro lighting. In the studio i use Hensel lighting, but I thought for this price I can gamble and see what happens. I have seen complaints about poor quality of the lights and the battery pack. Some battery packs not fully charging, or not turning on at all. Crossing my fingers here...If these last 6 months, I will be a happy photographer, if they last longer, I will recommend them to all of my photography students, who are always looking for less expensive startup equipment. NOT SURE YET ABOUT RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND. SO I WILL SAY YES BASED ON THE INITIAL EXPERIENCE. See you in a few weeks with an update review.AF

I love the ease and no cables to move around. Easy to set up/ take down, and use. they have not let me down or ran out of power.

This power pack was designed for use with the Flashpoint M series monolights. Its nickel-metal-hydride battery has no memory so it can be recharged over and over. Portable and lightweight so taking it outdoors is a breeze. •Comes complete with a wall charger and a connecting cord from the battery to the monolight
