· This reflector puts out direct, very soft light. The wide angle beam is great for portraits of two or three people. Although the light softened, f/stop loss is kept to a minimum because of the design of this large reflector.
· In still life product photography, using this reflector eliminates unwanted shadows and reduces "hot spots" of reflected light which prevents the details of the object from being photographed. Some photographers use a beauty dish as their standard mainlight reflector.
