It is exactly what I was looking for in a monapod. Because of its sturdiness, it works really well with my telephoto lens,

This monopod is solid, well built, extends the sections smoothly, and locks them tightly. The fit and finish are excellent. Because it is a solid piece of gear, it is a bit heavier than it looks, but anyone should be able to deal with the 2.5 pounds or so.

Excellent product for an amazingly low price. Has features not found on some more expensive monopods. Have not used that much yet but expect to do so soon.

Nice sturdy mono pod. As a six footer, it is tall enough that I don't have to stoop to see through the viewfinder. The ball head is sturdy enough to easily hold a fully extended telephoto zoom. Best of all is that it is reasonably priced.

Sturdy, easy to assemble a camera/lens to it. Easy to carry and good camera/lens orientation options...for a very convenient price.

I got this on sale, and love it. It is very solidly built. I love that it is tall and I don't have to stoop over. It is not carbon fiber, so it is heavier, but I'm very happy with the purchase.

T he pivoting head and extra long height of 69" are the winner.

I'm a total newby when it comes to DSLR's. I wanted something to help steady these aging hands. It seems strong, well made, and works as intended. I'm quite happy with the product.

Bought this monopod for use while hiking with my DSLR. Thought I might be able to use it as a walking staff as well (a little heavy for that but usable). The shaft is solid and hefty with three solid twist lock fittings. The fittings are easily gripped for locking and unlocking. The shoulder strap has a quick release buckle and the length is adjustable. It cannot be removed. There is a stiff, thin shoulder "pad". Not really a pad, since there is no padding on it. The pad can be easily removed. The ball head is basic, but solid. The quick release plate has a cork pad. It is secured by a spring loaded quick release pin (pull to release) and a knurled screw (one turn to release). The screw is needed to make a solid fit and could easily be lost if unscrewed too far. With this screw tightened, the plate fits tightly on the head. There is an adaptor screw on the quick release plate that must be removed for use with standard camera mounts. Pros: Really solid. Good construction for the price. Good twist lock height adjustment. Good maximum height. Cons: Quick release plate isn't really quick. Plate securing screw could be lost. A bit heavy. Unpadded shoulder pad. Strap can't be removed. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase.

Solid and well built but a bit heavy
By Daniel K.
This monopod is solid, well built, extends the sections smoothly, and locks them tightly. The fit and finish are excellent. Because it is a solid piece of gear, it is a bit heavier than it looks, but anyone should be able to deal with the 2.5 pounds or so.
The perfect accessory for backpacking and travel photography, the PM3A Monopod with H-28Q Ball head from 3POD effortlessly steadies your shot without the need for a full tripod setup. At a trim 2.25 lbs and folded height of 25.5 inches, the PM3A can be stowed in almost any travel bag or slung easily across the shoulders with the included adjustable carrying strap.
The monopod features an EVA foam handle and a sturdy rubber foot for nonslip grip and stability for cameras up to 4 pounds. 29mm tubular leg sections lock tightly in place with one twist.
The included H-28Q 100mm ball head is equipped with advanced locking and drag control by use of friction responsive knobs. 360-degree panning allows for stunning panoramic shots and smooth rotation. The ball head's quick release features a spring-loaded safety lock pins, preventing accidental removal of the camera.
