Have a D90 and lights work great! Easy to use also. Had to order PC sync adapter for my flash shoe. Ordered Flashpoint trigger and it works great too (wireless- no sync cords). Just beginning studio set-up.

Solidly built, powerful lights. Looked at other sets but these seemed to be the best value at this price point. Using for large group shots indoors, very pleased with the amount of light these produce. Very nice set, would recommend.

Great for general all around use. Easy to set up and with the handy carrying case everything is right there.

I needed a strobe for some portrait work after deciding my continuous lights were not giving me the flexibility that I wanted. After about a month of research, I decided to give the Flashpoint a try. For the price, I figured I wouldn’t be out much; and I could always use it as a second. Wow, am I impressed! This is a fantastic strobe, and lightweight to boot. Although the recycle time at full power is a bit slow if you want to snap off two or more shots a second, it’s fast enough for normal use. The sensor works perfect if I use my flash as a master, and no problems with the sync cord attached. The stand is a bit flimsy when fully extended so I will probably up grade that. My only complaint is that the reflector dome did not line up correctly for the umbrella to be mounted. After fooling with it for a while, I simply disassembled the ring from the dome and reassembled it correctly. Thankfully it’s aluminum so it was very easy to do. Other than that, you simply cannot go wrong with this light. When and if I decide to add a second strobe, you can bet I will be thinking Flashpoint.

• One of the most popular set configurations are the one-head kits. These appeal to photographers buying studio lighting for the first time as well as photographers looking for exceptional value for the money. A typical one-head kit will include a monolight flash unit with a light stand. To control the light, includedare umbrellas. In our experience, this creates a very easy-to-use and effective one-light setup. The umbrella is perfect for portraiture and many still-life applications.
