Flashpoint StreakLight Twin Power Adapter

This adapter worked perfectly with my Godox PB960, for which I was having trouble getting this cord. The price is also right - so thanks Adorama! It really does help turn the lowly 685 flash into a total beast in terms of recycle time. On a single cord, the flast is super fast. With the Y-adapter on, it really does hit that next gear, so to speak. The flash is noticeably faster than my V1/R2. My criticism is that the cord is rather bulky. It feels well made, but it does suck up precious bag space. Also, when using the cord and the shoulder strap with the battery, I now have excess length. The adapter flops over, and I worry it will gradually tear away at the cord/cord jacket since it bends at a 90 degree-ish angle. Time will tell. If I belt mount the battery pack, I can probably create some cord tension. Trouble is, I don't usually get to use the battery that way!

These flash units with 1 cord/cable recycle in 3 plus seconds. With this special cable Y cable, your recycle time is a shade over 1 second.

The Flashpoint system is excellent. The battery usually lasts for an entire job. If you are wondering weather or not to switch to this wireless system, wonder no more. This is the the one to use.

Far exceeded my expectations. I was able to get 20 flashes in a row without any waiting with my sb-5000 and d850 combo. Actually the flash would have kept going but I was up against the buffer of my d850. I also own and have extensively used the Nikon SD-9 battery pack. The nikon costs more money and is leas than half as powerful. Most flashes I have been able to get before flash pauses and recharges with that is 7. Yes the flashpoint is larger and heavier and bulkier but it is a far better performer. I use it to shoot birds and the ability to have a long uninterrupted burst is vital for what I do. Be sure to get the adapter to use both cells of the battery at the same time. And also a clamp to attach it to your tripod or light stand.
