The reflector is coated by some dirt can't be cleaned. The light bulbs were higher than the reflector, if you lay flat on the floor, the light bulbs will all be damaged.

I started taking photos for an ebay venture. My space to shoot is limited and I find these lights do not heat up the area even when I am using three of them. The wattage is adjustable, since any of the four bulbs can be turned off when I want to reduce the light output. I don't find anything negative about them other than they are not the best if you want a portable lighting set up. I will purchase more as I shoot more product. I have recommended them to friends who are looking for studio lighting if they can shoot at a slow speed. I have purchased a plastic container with a lid that they easily fit into and can be stored when not in use. I was a professional studio photographer when I was much younger, but had changed professions. Now I am enjoying it so much more and these lights make it more enjoyable. Thank you... rg295

Love this Flashpoint light setup, I now have four to add to my arsenal of lighting in my studio. Great bang for the buck. I purchased with stand included to increase my savings. Only draw back is the build quality of the mounting assembly, care must be exercised when adjusting.

In need of continuous cool lights, on a budget? Try these Flashpoints they worked great for me. Product arrived well packaged, and in perfect condition. Plenty bright for products & portrait shots. Diffuser was a nice addition & my umbrella's attached fine. The weak point is the plastic attachment, & I really dislike the clacking noise the attachment makes when tilting the lights. A metal attachment for a few extra dollars would have been worth it. Still quite happy with my purchase for the cost, put them right to use.

I would give these lights 5 stars if the construction were a bit more robust...but then they wouldn't be a fraction the cost of their competitors either. As far as the quality of light? Excelent for CFL reflector heads. Treat them carefully and they should last a long while, just don't expect them to travel. They're not up to abuse of any kind. For my needs in a very small studio they are perfect.

I am painter / photographer I use these for both activities. Though the sockets are a bit light weight,for the price nothing else out there comes near the value cost ratio of these units. Just make sure to get the newer model which accommodates an umbrella the first model of these units does not.

I bought this to use as a back/head/hair light for online commercial videos I produce for Yelp. The initial unit I received was defective. One of the bulb switch was loose and does not turn the bulb off combined with broken bulbs. I got the replacement and the unit works except for one of the bulbs that was either defective or max out it life span...when turned on the first time the base of the bulb was lit for few seconds and then went dead. Adorama has a good customer service and am satisfied with their return policy. The unit is very bright and produces enough light for my need. The light stand mount could have been better but for the price I can live with it. I intend to get another two for three light setup as it is more portable compared to my soft boxes.

These lights are really a great value. They produce a perfect light for my video production, they run cool and they come with a defusser. I wish the mounting was a little sturdier. I bought 2 units and when they arrived one of the boxes had 2 broken bulbs. I caalled customer service and they shipped 2 replacements the next day.

The build of the stand adapter was a bit flimsier than expected, but then again for the price I can't complain. The sock diffuser is a slight struggle to put on, but I'm not a huge fan of them in the first place. My biggest gripe is that it doesnt fit my 60" Wescott ubmrella; the hole for the umbrella pole is slightly smaller than the umbrella pole. The light (luminosity and color) is good. Color shifts green, but for the inexpensive bulbs that come with the package it is manageable. You will need to use a custom WB or fix in post, that is if you are seeking perfection. The overall temperature of the light is spot on though. I will probably be purchasing a second one soon to use for a fill light.

For the price,this delivers lots of diffuse daylight colored light indoors, using 20% of the electricity of incandescent lights. I would suggest sandbagging your light stands as with any large light source. I would NOT use them outdoors under windy conditiond, again, just like any other large reflector light sources. Be sure to adjust your white balance manually, just as with any light source. Great value!

Got two of them for a product photo shoot on a location. The salesman took as an offense my suggestion that these bulbs wouldn't produce nearly as much light as advertised. Decided to try. I was right of cause! Had to shoot at a much higher ISO, and a slower shutter speed, then was necessary for the project. Thank god for the Photoshop and a RAW technology! I will have to try to put in the bigger bulbs. If that doesn't work, this Flashpoint is a waste of money for a professional work.

I use these lights for copying oil paintings. I recommend them to painters for their still life painting. They give a lot of nice light for less money than for regular studio lights. And, they are easy to set up and store. Thumbs up!!

Purchased as a house light for its looks. Works beautifully, it's useful to be able to switch each bulb on/off. Very effective reflector. It turns out to be cheaper than most house standing lamps. Did I mention it looks great?

Nice head design but very flimsy and poorly designed mounting bracket. I sure would like to see someone build a lamp like this with an intelligently designed, professional quality mounting bracket. I guess I will have to do it myself.

I'm using two Flashpoints to light a weekly video podcast with a single host. They're light, easy to move around and easy to set up. I considered buying LED lights, but the Flashpoints put out more light at a much lower cost. It's easy to control the light output with the individual switches for each bulb. My only concern is that they're fairly flimsy, although well-built. If I had to carry them from location to location, they'd probably get damaged easily. But, for a fixed studio, they're great video lights at an excellent price!

Better than expected, I am very pleased.Quick setup and adaptable to many shooting styles. A nice powerful unit without the heat. Also makes a good modeling light for dedicated flash systems. Light quality and white balance are excellent, really nothing I say bad about the light. A handy inexpensive addition to the studio, well worth the price.
