RYAN L : Can these be used for the 100w budget strobes?DANIEL B : I wouldn't know since I haven't used the 100W strobes. I have several of the 160W Flashpoint units. I will say this, the 160's can consume fuses like they were candy. Some units seem to behave differently than others. I figure it's partially a quality control matter and how you use them. If you can hook them up to different outlets as opposed to the same circuit. Hope that helps :)
Shopper : Are there any other fuses that will work in the 160w lights?ED F : You actually can get these fuses from other professional camera retailers online and in the brick and mortor store (pro stores). These fuses as well as the 10A Fuses cannot be found at radio shack. Also most electronic stores do not carry these fuses as they are smaller than typical fuses. These lights are manufactured for many companies (i.e Promaster and Smith Victor). So they ALL carry the same fuses...what I have noticed while looking online is that Adorama has the cheapest price! Most other retailers sell them for at least double and a few triple the price of Adorama..that is probably why they can't keep them in stock! I usually by 10 at a time..just because I know what a hassle it is to get them again!TOSHIAKI O : it's just 5amp regular fuse you can buy anywhere. freight cost is too high for little things. problem is fuse burn out so often as jason said. i'm not sure that higher amp of fuse will be damaged whole system or not. i hope manufacturer improve this point.PAUL B : I can't say for certain but these worked great in mine. I would imagine that you may be able find a replacement at a Radio Shack or something like that. I just prefer playing it safe and using the specified equipment. I have not blown another one since buying this one but I don't use this light heavily.JASON D : Not sure, but I know on I've blown a lot of fuses, and two of four monolights I purchased completely fried within the first six months.CRYSTAL W : No there is no other fuses for this light. I have even tried to find them at radio shack or electronics store. This is a good light but the downfall is that all the replacement parts have to come from Adorama.

Can be hard to find....w/limited options

They can be hard to find..you can buy them under other names like Promaster/Smith Victor 160A Light. Adorama has the best price..probably why they are always out of stock..order a bunch!
